Have made a new soup (not snew - couldn't seem to edit the title) which is wonderful.

Chopped-up butternut squash, onion, garlic and 1/2 tspn curry powder. Add one tin coconut milk, some water and simmer til soft. Whizz.

Heavenly, but looks horrible and grey whilst cooking!

Yes, we have a very sharp knife Icecream, essential, or you lose the will to live, or a small chunk of finger if your attention strays for a moment!

 

OH used to sharpen the knives, but I have been asking him for at least a year. I think even longer. The German ones are quite sharp because I hardly use them, but there are only a couple of smallish ones.

It's lovely if you roast it. :D

 

I think I might have had it roasted once - it feels like a long time ago!

 

It's just one of those vegetables that seems a little intimidating - if you know what i mean!
