Hi everyone,

I'm a refugee from the now defunct Book Group Online. This forum was mentioned to me as a welcoming place! I have used my old BGO username so that any fellow former members will recognise me.

I'm an English teacher living in the west of Scotland, and I read a range of stuff. I like contemporary fiction, crime and non fiction on various subjects, among other things. I get hot under the collar about overused tricks and trends in fiction. The best thing I have read for a bit is Trespasses by Louise Kennedy.

Hi, welcome to the forum and I like crime novels as well, I'm currently reading Are You Awake by Claire McGowan which is about a missing girl called Samantha Ellis and a mother of two small children as well as a journalist with PTSD who are investigating her disappearance.
