The Owl and the Nightingale

I started reading this. It is a very pretty looking book. It is a modern adaption of a 12th century, English poem. Nobody knows exactly when it was written or who by. The updater is Simon Armitage, our current Poet Laureate. And a very good one if you ask me. The poem is very, very long. I am read the first ten pages last night. The nightingale is very insulting towards the owl.
