Mexicola
I dunno, I reckon Russell Brand would be quite content to die in the company of all those women!

Univerze
Micheala Conlin (preferably as Angela Montenegro, she'd wickedly funny and seems veeeery nice) Anne Hathaway Sholto, king of the Sluagh from Laurell Hamilton's Merry Gentry books Mistral, Storm Lord, again from above books. Sarah Carter (from CSI and Shark) All hotties again, which I wouldn't mind getting very up close and personal with hee hee, so I think we'd find something else to do after dinner, possibly. Plus I would love to have a chat with Mistral and Sholto about what it's like to live in world of faery, and to be immortal sidhe. Wow. missybct
Brilliant thread. I think I would want the following; Marliyn Monroe - I adore her style and she is such an icon. JFK - although with Monroe that may not be such a good idea. Russell Howard - because he makes me laugh so much at his deliberate sillyness David Tennant - because I do love him so! Ted Bundy - in shackles, obviously, just to find out why he did what he did. Charlotte Bronte - because I admire her
Heather
I would have my great grandparents so they could tell me all about their parents, grandparents, siblings and children. Not a lot to ask eh? Think of all the info I could get.
Univerze
Ted Bundy - in shackles, obviously, just to find out why he did what he did. Some of the other members of your dinner party might not be able to stomach it if he went into details I think.. I've always find serial killers fascinating in a weird way, but his necrophiliac tendencies might upset the stomach of quite a few guests hee hee.. including me. The rest what he did is sick, but can you imagine necrophilia? Ew.
missybct
Heh, that is true - I may gloss over that part of it. Actually, scrap that, I may just talk to him over the phone instead
pickle
I am allowed fictional characters aren't I ? I think it might be fun to sit back and let a load of famous detectives get together around the dinner table and watch the sparks fly as they discuss the ways in which they solve a crime so: Sherlock Holmes Poirot Rebus Miss Marple feel free to add to this list It would be an ego fest with Miss Marple doing her knitting and comparing to the butchers boy and the missing herring in St Mary Mead and the little grey cells versus the speck of dust on the lapel.. Chrissy
Without this sounding too corny, I reckon a large table, or a collection of smaller tables with the regular and active BCF members sitting, eating and chatting would be pretty cool! Aww, I second yours, Chrissy. That sounds lovely. Another forum I'm on does a confrence every couple of years. Maybe we should set up some kind of BCF-Con thing and have a little weekend confrence where we could invite authors to come speak or put on little workshops and have small discussion groups and generally hang out or something, someday. SueK
Thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to resurrect this list. As my last guest list was real people, I thought I'd have another party and this time I'd invite some fictional characters: Morse Sherlock Poirot Barnaby who comes out on top gets the double helping of Death by Chocolate Cake. Chrissy
Great guest list Sue, but wouldn't that mean that you would have to be the victim or the murderer?
SueK
Great guest list Sue, but wouldn't that mean that you would have to be the victim or the murderer? True.... but I could press-gang a few people off the street to be the victim/murderer (and they could have the scraps of leftovers)
Chrissy
True.... but I could press-gang a few people off the street to be the victim/murderer (and they could have the scraps of leftovers) Well that answers the question ~ you'd definitely be the murderer! Coffin Nail
Great idea to have a character dinner party; I'd like to have mix of goodies and baddies. Rebus, DS Logan McCrae and DI Steel, Dr Tony Hill, Fitz from Cracker and Jane Tenneson alongside, Hannibal Lecter, Wicked Witch of the West, Cruella de Ville, Begbie from Trainspotting, Iago and Bill Sykes. Should go with a bang!

Brida
I haven't noticed this thread before Fantasy dinner party #1 (yes, I plan on having more of those ) Simon Amstell - I'm sure the dinner would be funny enough with him Paulo Coelho - *cough* don't need to explain that one Brian Molko - he got along nicely with Simon before xD Yann Martel - he seems like he has much to tell Damn it, why only 4?!? If it were possible to have one more person to the party, I'd add Proust to the 4 above
