Mystery Lass Posted January 17, 2018 Posted January 17, 2018 Hi Everyone - I live in the north of Scotland and am an avid reader - usually 2 or 3 books on the go at the same time. My favourites are British police procedurals, preferably with not too much swearing and not too bloodthirsty. I try and stay with a series with the same characters so I can get to know their characters, home life etc. I prefer to hold a proper book, but I use my kindle when reading in bed, and I use audio books when I am sewing. Watch very little TV - too busy reading Quote
Madeleine Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 Welcome to the forum, do you have any favourite series? Quote

Anna Faversham Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 Welcome. It's been sleeting here in the south of England and I've been watching Scotland in the snow on TV. Just the right sort of night to curl up with a good book. I love audio books too and I'm listening to The House on the Strand by Daphne du Maurier at the moment. I'm sure you'll like it here. Quote
Mystery Lass Posted January 24, 2018 Author Posted January 24, 2018 Not good weather at all, but good for reading - don't feel guilty sitting down. Some of the book series I have read .... Dorothy Simpson (Thanet & Lineham) Peter Lovesey (Peter Diamond) J M Gregson (Lambert & Hook) P F Ford (Slater & Norman) James Whitworth (Frank Miller) Stephen Booth (Cooper & Fry) Cynthia Harrod Eagles (D I Slider) Roger Silverwood (Inspector Angel) Peter Turnbull (Hennesey & Yellich) Ann Granger (Mitchell & Markby) " " (Campbell & Carter) Further suggestions would be more than welcome Quote
Iain C Smith Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Hello everyone, I have been a bit of a bookworm for most of my life. I just love books - in particularly Crime fiction, especially the Inspector Morse novels by Colin Dexter. I look forward to pop into the form on a regular basis. Quote
