Wow! I vaguely remembered hearing the title before, but it just seemed so appallingly awful I thought it must be made up for Ugly Betty.

Nope. Apparently it even has a bit of a cult following. I'd never heard of it until earlier this year!

And people complain about Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals!!

This past week's episode was excellent. Wait until you see what happens at the wedding.

That episode airs here Wednesday/Friday so if that's the episode that's just aired in the US, then we are only one episode behind.

Wicked the Musical is actually based on the book by Gregory Maguire (it's about Elphaba, the WWotW).

I am quite surprised that there have been no comments,

have all of you seen the episode where Daniel's father died.

That's the next episode. We just got the one before that last night on E4.

 

I don't mind about spoilers. I read TWoP anyways, so I know bout the spoilers for most of my favourites.

Gah! I just read Muggle's spoiler (believing it would be about something else!) and it wasn't and I wished I hadn't! Well it was my own stupid fault!

 

Tonight on C4 we've got the one with Posh Spice, which should be a laugh.

It was a good episode tonight, another tear jerker for me though! I don't know how, but Ugly Betty always manages to bring a tear to my eye! It's a mark of a good tv show, very funny but also with heart.

I totally agree with you princessponti, about it having a heart and all the best programmes being able to make you laugh and cry.

 

There were some really funny bits last night. My favourites included

the opening part with Hilda covering for Betty and then Betty climbing in the window just at the wrong moment, and Amanda singing in the church! It was so sad when Daniel sacked Betty - I hope she gets that sorted out.

It's going to be so difficult if Mr Mead dies, I hope Daniel doesn't blame Betty ..it was so funny with Hilda climbing threw the window! lol! I wish I had a sister!

I really like Hilda and wish they showed more of her in the episodes.

I still have this weeks (UK) episode to watch as I had to record it this week because of I'm A Celeb.

 

By the way just out of interest what classes as a spoiler on this board?

I don't know what the official line is, but I would say anything that gives away the storyline.... did we miss one

No. I was just asking. I know there are people here in countries who may not have seen the episodes yet, but I do find it a little strange that information from episodes that have aired in both the US and the UK are still put behind the spoiler tags.

It's all a bit of a minefield with the spoilers! I just err on the side of caution, I guess. I watch Ugly Betty on C4, and tend to use spoiler tags just for those people who might not have seen this week's episode yet.

 

However, Muggle is at least one (and possibly two) episodes ahead of terrestrial Brit viewers, so I guess he uses spoilers for that reason. (Although it only helps if idiots like myself don't click on the spoilers like I did this week!! )

I'm like Mia, caution is the best option.. I put anything storyline specific behind the tags just in case, regardless of episode or season even! I hate to read a thread and accidently see something I don't want to!

It always makes me cry!!!! Every single episode!!! ...I'm confused as to where everyone is up to; I've just watched Wednesday on E4... ? Very very good episode, just how Ugly Betty should be.

In 12 minutes Ugly Betty will come on TV and the preview stated that there will be some surprises. Can't wait.

Uh Oh, watched Ugly Betty last night and .......This is a real spoiler so only look if you can't resist. ........

looked like Betty may be just a little jealous of Hilda going out on a date with Gio and it looks like Gio has a serious crush on Betty.

I didn't think this week's episode was quite as good as usual, even though there were some laugh out loud moments. I did laugh at

Wilhelmina falling into the grave - bad taste, perhaps, but very funny and it served her right.

 

 

 

I wasn't keen on Bradford Meade appearing as Betty's guilty conscience - we had another Betty last week and Bradford this week, I think they're relying on this device too much.

 

 

And was that Eliza Dushku (Faith from Buffy)playing the model? It certainly looked like her, but I didn't notice the names in the opening credits.

Tonight's episode of Ugly betty was a very good one. I am getting to like Gio. This is a real spoiler so don't look

Bradford's wife was found not guilty of murder by reason of insanity......thanks to Betty's efforts. So, she will take over Mode and work with her kids.

 

There is one new episode left and then re-runs due to the writer's strike. I am anxious to see next week's show as the preview looks like a wingdinger.

We have not had any episodes of Ugly Betty since well before Xmas.
