Ugly Betty

I didn't like the sandwich guy in last night's episode - I thought he was rather creepy. I hope he's not going to be a regular character.

Yeah he was a little strange.

By the way is it just me or is Henry getting more and more attractive with each episode that goes past?

No apparently Gio the Sandwich Guy is meant to be a bit of a recurring character - which annoys me, because I find him irritating (and he reminds me of Jonathan Taylor Thomas). Strangely, Freddy Rodriguez, the actor who plays him, was on Six Feet Under, which I thought he was fantastic in. Gio's meant to be another romantic interest for Betty, which is a shame because when that kicks off, I'm gonna stop watching the show!

Christoper Gorham (Henry) is definately quite cute (especially sans glasses). Strangely, he's one of those actors who can alternate between playing the hot guy and the geek. He was definately a geek on Popular, but was quite hot in Jake 2.0.

I think so too Princess, Gio is very annoying. Betty and Henry should be together!:D

You are correct stating that he was very good in Six Feet Under which was a heck of a good show and in which the final episode was one of the best shows that I have seen.

Back to Ugly Betty, I think (hope) they are just trying to get people's attention by generating some new interests in the show.

There should be more new interests (just not Gio) :D

The latest episode was really good. :jump: There were some hilarious bits, especially with poor Alexis. It was nice to see Victor Garber as the writing tutor, though I kept expecting him to whip out a gun and kill someone (I'm used to seeing him in Alias as Sydney's dad). And no sandwich guy! Hurrah!

I just realised I forgot to watch Ugly Betty last night. I think it's repeated on E4 on a Sunday evening, so I must check the listings to see what time it's on and make sure I watch it. I can't believe I missed it - I blame Facebook, my new addiction.

I can't wait to see it, if its the episode with Victor Garber as I love him. (I'm also a fan of Alias!) I have to admit though that I didn't actually know he was even guest starring in UB.

Btw, there is a new show called Private Practice that is excellent with great stories.

I liked Grey's Anatomy (until the Gizzie storyline killed it for me - not I Sky+ it and FFWD over any scenes between the 2 of them), and I loved Kate Walsh in GA. Saw the leadup to PP that was on GA, and I have to say, I'm a bit meh of the entire hippy dippy LA vibe they've got going on - and I do not in any way, shape or form buy Chris Lowell as a hot surfer. Emo kid, maybe.

I'm currently consistently unimpressed with the state of television today. I like Ugly Betty, for its unabashed fluffiness. And it's fast paced, there's always loads going on, and the characters are such parodies of themselves.

Btw Muggle, the sandwich guy was not in the last episode I saw, so I'm now wondering if you're two episodes ahead, not just one? The last one we saw was the one where Hilda was socialising with the widowed ladies, and she finally noticed Justin was going off the rails, and where Marc was lusting after the underwear model.

This week's episode was really good! I loved

how Betty and Henry were trying to be together and were thwarted at every turn. Also, it was only a short bit, but I thought it was hilarious when Marc got rid of Amanda by throwing the (Prada) shoe, and both she and the dog went chasing after it!

Unfortunately, the sandwich guy is becoming more and more creepy. I don't think the guy who plays him has got it quite right - he's too menacing. I can't stand to look at him. *shudder*

Oh yeah, I may not like him but

the funniest bit was courtesy of him in the theatre: when Betty and Henry were texting each other with soppy stuff like "You'll hear a sneeze - that's me saying hello" and after a bit he said "You'll hear gagging. That's the sound of me gagging." :pizza:

That made me laugh out loud. :censored:

And is Wicked a real musical?! If it is, it must be the worst one in existence judging by the terrible singing and lyrics. If it isn't, no doubt someone will be producing it soon! :)
