Yeah, I’m not sure if I have mentioned it on the forum before actually! Getting to this point is a bit of a long story but I’m currently freelancing as a private tutor and editor.

Ah, okay. I know you’ve mentioned before that you work from home and then when you mentioned reading for work my nosiness (and slight jealously) got the better of me. Thanks for answering.

There are lots of things I love about it, especially getting to talk about books multiple times a day, but it has its downsides!

Quite an old thread resurrection but what is your number this year?

I have read 71 books and I don't think I'll manage to finish another before we reach 2025. I think I am likely to read less books next year as I want to tackle more of the bigger works of literature which intimidate me.

72 so far this year, with 2 on the go at present, likely to finish one or both by year end.  It's been a good year's reading (quality as well as quantity), that has picked up as the year has gone on.  Good to get a few megas under the belt too, as have shied away a bit from them a bit since lockdown: Ulysses, Tristram Shandy and Daniel Deronda have all been ambitions unfulfilled before this year. Been a couple of years since hit 70 last.

I'm currently on 86, not counting all the audio books I listen to while cooking or doing knitting that involves looking at the stitches all the time.
