We will be on vacation in Bar Harbor, Maine for a week. We get a complete dinner 2 different nights that is included in our package rate at the hotel. Included is appetizer, soup or salad,.entree, and dessert. Dessert is not shown on the on-line menu but we always get the blueberry cheesecake that is made with "wild" blueberries grown in Maine.

Select your complete dinner.

Hi Muggle Not. Great to see you again.

I would be stuck. Everything sounds delicious, but I don't know what some of the things are, like 'Fontina'? I guess the cheeses are special to US too.

I think I would choose :-

The Frenchman Bay Crab cakes

The Lobster Soup,

Mixed Organic Field Greens,

And the Maine Haddock.

No Blueberry Pie, (though I love it) as I wouldn't have room!

It all sounds so delicious! I think I might be tempted to try:

Appetiser: Alsation Vegetable Tart with Dill Polenta Crust

Soup/Salad: Summer Minestrone with Basil

Entree: Sun-Dried Tomato and Wild Mushroom Ravioli

From that list, you might think I'm vegetarian, but I'm not - they all just sound to gorgeous to resist!

BTW, it will be over 1000 miles for us to drive up to Bar Harbor and, of course, another 1000 miles back, but the food is worth the trip.

What I will select:

1st night

Appetizer - Gulf shrimp and Lobster Cocktail

Soup - New England Clam Chowder

Entree - Maine Lobster Meat sauteed in butter

Dessert - Blueberry Cheesecake made with "wild' Maine blueberries

2nd night

Appetizer - Gulf shrimp and Lobster Cocktail

Soup - Lobster Bisque soup

Entree - Lobster Pie

Dessert - Blueberry Cheesecake made with "wild' Maine blueberries

I will have wine with one dinner and a bottle of Blueberry Beer with the other dinner.

I'd have:

Baked Stuffed Portabella Mushroom (that sounds so delicious!)

Mixed Organic Field Greens (something different I've not tried)

Statler Breast of Chicken

I'm not a huge fan of seafood, and usually only eat it if there's nothing else on the menu.

Hi Purple Poppy. The Haddock is very good as it is caught local. I sometimes have a haddock sandwich for lunch while on vacation. I know this nice quaint little restaurant where the haddock sandwiches are excellent.

are you doing OK.
