Mine's just arrived. I got 'The Hunting of the Snark'. The actual story/poem is quite short but there is tons of introduction/preface type stuff at the beginning and bibliography and appendix at the end!

I've definately got a better one than a lot of you though!:lol::roll:

Hazeltree, if you would consider selling or swapping that to me when finished, I might be interested. It holds such lovely memories for me, I think I'd like the book.

Got mine today:

Under the Banyan Tree by R.K. Narayan.

It actually looks quite interesting.

Also, I have to say, I just love the smell of new books. Who else gave their book a good whiff?

Me too. I used to work in the careers department of a sixth form college and each year we would order university prospectuses for the students. My boss and I would spend a pleasant day sorting them out - at the same time admiring the covers and sampling their fine bouquets! Think the other staff thought we were mad!

Dammit - my book arrived yesterday! Like Hazeltree said, my book has a 30-page intro before the first play actually begins! I might skip that and just read the plays.

Did you enjoy it?

I enjoyed the fact it was only 90 pages.:smile2: It did get quite exciting at the end so considering it was completly out of my comfort zone in regards to reading material I was pleasently suprised by it.

I've read it - thought it was quite strange especially the ending. Would loved to have seen the film - it was on recently but I missed it.

I got mine today. The religious writings of Meister Echkart, 12th century monk. It looks a but dull :smile2: but who knows it may surprise me. At least it may be of more interest to me than for someone with no spiritual beliefs.
