dtrpath27
So has anyone read anything by him? I was in the Kindle store looking up books by Jasper Fforde, and quite a few of Tom Holt's things popped up. They seem to be quirky and whimsical with a little touch of dark the way Fforde's things are. Any thoughts? I'm always looking for a new author. Athena
I haven't read any of his books, but I have Little People on my TBR.
Kell
I was recommended him off the back of my liking Terry Pratchett, and read several of his novels but the only one I actually liked was Snow White and the Seven Samurai. The rest I didn't enjoy at all. To be honest, I wasn't a fan of his style of writing, as well as the storylines, so it was a lose-lose situation for me. Raven
I read Expecting Someone Taller a very long time ago, so I don't remember much about it now. I think it was okay, but it didn't encourage me to try any of Holt's other novels at the time. I occasionally think I should give him another try. dtrpath27
Hmm...it looks like rather lukewarm. That doesn't usually happen around here! It seems like he's written quite a few things of the same feel, so reading one might give me an idea of his style. I suppose I'll start with whatever is at the library tonight. Thanks for the insight, everyone!
dtrpath27
In Your Dreams is what they had at the library, so that's what I'll start with.
frankie
The author's name sounded familiar, and I was sure poppyshake's read at least one of his books, called Life, Liberty & the Pursuit of Sausages, her review of it made me add the book to my wishlist. I hope poppyshake doesn't mind me speaking for her, but here's a link to her review, she seemed to enjoy the novel!
