Here's my top three as of this moment in time:

1. A Christmas Carol (this was great!)

2. The Cricket on the Hearth (this was interesting)

3. Chimes (not too keen on this one but it was allright)

Of those I've read:

1.  Bleak House (one of the greatest books I've ever read - in my top half dozen, maybe even top three)

2.  David Copperfield

3.  Pickwick Papers (partly because it's so different to the rest)

Though my favourites often change depending on what phase of life I am in when reading Dickens...

1) Bleak House
2) Pickwick Papers
3) Our Mutual Friend

I feel a bit of a fraud listing my top three, because they're the only ones I've read (well, apart from a few other short Christmas stories). That said, I absolutely adore all three books and consider them all among my favourite ever books:

1. A Christmas Carol (it's short but oh so perfect)

2. Great Expectations

3. A Tale of Two Cities

The last two are pretty interchangeable; I can't quite decide which one I like more! In 2015, I think I'll try to read Bleak House (or The Old Curiosity Shop).

I can't even make it to three yet! I'm up to two and a half so far but I've read two novellas and I'm half way through a novel, but based on that, it would be…

  • A Christmas Carol
  • Nicholas Nickleby (half finished but love it!)
  • The Chimes

I will have to join you in having only read three (so far!), apart from some of the shorter Christmas stories.  Therefore, mine are:

1. A Christmas Carol

2. Oliver Twist

3. Nicholas Nickleby (nearly done - loving it and I can't see that changing)
