The return of NASA's first manned mission to Mars was supposed to be a momentous day. But when the crew loses touch with ground control before entry, things look bleak. Safe after a treacherous landing, the crew emerges to discover the unthinkable - every man, woman, child, and animal has vanished without a trace. Alone now on their home planet, the crew sets out to discover where everyone has gone - and how to get them back - only to discover they may not be as alone as they thought. Quote
julie Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 So Laura I don't think I know much about you ,as far as personal life. Did you grow up on the farm where you are working ? And did you move to town while you had your other job ? Where do you prefer living ,do you like it in the country or town ? I've lived in the same "town" since birth ,although my last 2 years at home , my parents bought a place outside of town ,so I technically lived on a "farm" then. Only 4 acres, so not a huge place . By the time we moved there, I drove and had my own car and was in nursing school ,so I didn't spend much time at home . Those were also the "teen, hanging out with friends " years . I like living in town much better ,only because that is where I have loved most of my life and I like it here . Quote

I like living in town much better ,only because that is where I have loved most of my life and I like it here . Well, I have lived on the farm for about a year. Its my boyfriends farm but I have spent a lot of time here beforehand as we have been friends for years. I live in the middle of the countryside and there is a fairly large town about half an hours drive away and that's where I was working but I did used to live in the town before I moved in with the boyfriend. I love living on the farm so much more than the town its so quiet and peaceful! Oh I love this book, I really hope you do, too! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you for Friday Thanks Frankie I really want to read this book soon Fingers firmly crossed for Friday Laura. Thank you Quote
julie Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 That's really nice Laura. I'm glad you are living where it makes you most happy and content . Do they have animals or grow food on their farm, or both ? The mini-farm we lived on when I was a teen ,we had a big garden, but only a few animals, A cow, horse, bunnies and some chickens, and of course, some stray cats in the barn that would claw your eyes out if you tried petting them .
