Raven Posted December 16, 2015 Author Posted December 16, 2015 TFA Update: 10½ hours to go, just checked my ticket. Still there . . . Quote
Athena Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 The film has been out here since yesterday (Wednesday), we plan on seeing it soon. Have fun, Raven! Quote
Raven Posted December 17, 2015 Author Posted December 17, 2015 TFA Update: Film done, burger eaten, feels like I should be going for a beer and then going to bed, but I'm in work and have a support briefing to write. Should have taken the day off . . . Daisy Ridley is could do very well for herself out of this. Also, people who make trailers should be shot . . . Quote
Raven Posted December 18, 2015 Author Posted December 18, 2015 This is getting weird. There is a short period of time that we are now in where people have seen the film, but you can't talk about it in public for fear of spoiling it for those who haven't. Quote
Athena Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 Well, it's only just been premiered, give people some time to go see it . We can't all show up on the first day or there wouldn't be enough space in the cinemas . I guess I just come from the "don't spoil unless you're sure the other person has seen it" kind of mental state. I hate it when someone spoils something for me that I didn't want them to. Quote
Athena Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Oh I couldn't do that.. I need at least a few months between seeing a film and seeing it again . Otherwise it's too fresh in my memory and I'll recognise every single line said and footage shown. Quote
vodkafan Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 (edited) I just got back from watching Star Wars 7. It was a spur of the moment thing to keep Big Son company. I give it 4 out of 10. I judge this as a kids film but was not as engaging to the emotions as for instance Zathura or Spiderwick Chronicles Very formulaic and disappointing story wise. The new characters roles are basically the same as the old characters and the plot is recycled One thing I found interesting and a bit spooky. The young female character is like Keira Knightly but with facial expressions. That was Uncanny Valley. Edited December 21, 2015 by vodkafan Quote
woolf woolf Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 Tony Zhou (Every Frame a Painting channel on Youtube) wrote an article on his point of view of the film's plot. Quote
