Just finished Kensuke's Kingdom. Really nice book, obviously aimed at young people but I read it for nostalgic reasons and it was lovely. The chapters always end in a fashion which makes you want to keep reading. I really enjoyed it now onto some horror/thriller books, what a contrast.

I read recently Bear Grylls - Mud, Sweat and Tears. Which I was surprised I enjoyed as much as I did although major chunks of the book are dedicated to SAS selection and climbing Everest and there's nothing wrong with that but it's not a complete life story as you might expect. I think Bear Grylls has published a lot of rubbish but this book was quite good, very readable.

I read A Street Cat Named Bob - James Bowen it was a nice read although I wouldn't consider it spectacular it was a touching story and it's nice to hear a little success story rather than the cliche I love my pet, my pet dies - story over. Then I read War Horse - Michael Morpurgo which was nice, felt it really picked up towards the last quarter and had a few unexpected twists. Infact reading War Horse made me remember being read Kensuke's Kingdom (also by Michael Morpurgo) as a child, although I remember very little of it so I've added that to the wishlist for nostalgia reasons.

I envy lots of you with your large collections. I only really got into reading as a hobby recently so still have a fairly small amount but I would love the look of lots of bookcases filled to the brim, all that knowledge!

It's a bit of a mixed ending I would include those spoiler tags I've seen people do but I don't know how. Good book though I really enjoyed it. I've read War Horse and this recently both by Morpurgo and really enjoyed them.
