Jeez, I didn't realise this site was so heavily female weighted. More guys should definitely read though, I'm the only guy of my friendship group that reads come to think of it.

I've started reading The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo it's great so far Really enjoying it. I'm about 100 pages in at the moment.

We don't call them provinces in the UK, we call them regions. I'm guessing Canada.

Is there such thing? I'm not interested in comics. I watch films like The Dark Knight or television series like Arrow and it just makes me think these could be great books. I was wondering if this genre even exists? Or is it just comics.

How many books a year do you think you roughly read per year?I'm reading Stephen King - On Writing at the moment and he says he reads between 70 - 80 books per year and considers himself a slow reader. It got me thinking how many I read at my current pace I would probably end up between 40 - 50 books. Do some of you really read two books a week?That seems a lot to me!

I just searched amazon for this book as I have watched the documentary, which was great. There are two choices though; A Lion Called Christian or Christian the Lion. Are these the same book with different titles? Christian the Lion was published 2009, and A Lion Called Christian 2010.

I'm close to finishing Watch My Back by Geoff Thompson and then I can focus on Stephen King - On Writing. Hopefully I can just finish off the last 50 pages or so of The Culture Clash by Jean Donaldson too. Slowly working through my pile

Anyone still following this? I'm up to date, hooked on it It reminds me of Sherlock, more than Derren Brown.

I do some Heavy Intensity Interval Training on the cycling machines at the gym. I know that's not the same but I enjoy it regardless and it has definitely helped my cardio fitness. I have done some cycling in the past, but I always get frustrated at flat tires and end up stopping.

Well, some species of snake are prone to going off food in captivity. In this country we always try to feed snakes on pre-killed defrosted rodents. Leopard Ratsnakes are a species that are prone to going off food for some time, for the most part it doesn't do them any harm. Some snakes can go over a year without losing much condition. However it is of course a little worrying. When I was keeping mine, my female was a great feeder but the male did have one spell of refusing to feed. Although I found a trick to get him to feed (which is often the way, you have to find what makes the individual's feeding response trigger) which for this individual was sticking him in a dark box with a mouse (dead) and taking him for a drive. People think this activates the gut flora when a snake hasn't eaten in a while due to the vibrations, I don't know but it works! They're also quite a shy species, which isn't a pain lots of shy species are very popular. It's just a little boring, I like active snakes which you see exploring etc. regularly. Hehehe Nagini in the films was a reticulated python, I haven't read the books though. Hahaha no, they're not cuddly animals!

Hehehe, a lot of people have this problem!I post on a reptile forum too and you quite often get people posting with the mum dilemma hahaha The dogs are more of a risk to the snakes than the other way around, the only time this might reverse is with the venomous snakes (you have to be licensed to own in this country) or the giant snakes. Burmese Pythons, Reticulated Pythons, Green or Yellow Anacondas, Indian or African rock pythons and perhaps large boa constrictors if it was a smaller breed dog. Lots of snake owners have dogs though, and it's quite hard to lose a 13 - 19ft snake if you do keep the giants!So you don't have many escapes. I personally prefer the smaller species though, with my boa being the largest I keep. My snakes range from under 2ft - 5.5ft. Here are a pair of Leopard Ratsnakes I used to own. In my opinion they are one of the most beautiful snakes on the planet. A bit of a pain to keep though. My more conventional pet and best friend, Chester. and to show you a giant snake. This snake isn't mine, photo was taken at Paignton Zoo. The snake is roughly 14-15ft, an African Rock Python and a bit of a chubby one too!

I have a dog and have dogs to stay. They don't tend to pay any attention to them, cats on the other hand will sit and watch them which can be a bit of a pain. She doesn't have a name, I have and have had lots of snakes and I just gave up giving them names. Here are some more... Infact I do lie, this is my only named snake. Casper. and this is one of my favourite snakes. A Desert Kingsnake I own.

My boa as a baby (Neonate)... Getting bigger.. She's probably a bit over 5ft now but I don't have any recent pictures Some Viperines (Natrix Maura) It won't let me post all of my photos, that's a shame.. I'll have to keep adding them to this thread gradually :/

Lol, no although I'm sure they would love to. As would my boa constrictor love to downsize my number of cats!Hehehe.

I usually read 2-3 books at a time, often a non-fiction and a fiction.

Herpetocultute (Keeping reptiles, more specifically in terms of myself snakes) Dog Training (I'm doing a degree in canine behaviour but I've been dog training for a fair few years now) Fitness Hip Hop I also follow The Mentalist (TV Series) pretty religiously but I don't know if I would describe that as a hobby.

I have a reccuring nightmare about a clown although I have no phobia of clowns I think IT would really play on my mind!

I have a labrador called Chester, two cats, seven snakes currently. I did have 11 snakes until I recently downsized.

I recently read War Horse and I don't know if I will bother with the sequel. It seems like a book for the money riding off the success of the original book. I don't see why there was any need for a sequel. Having said that I think it's unfair to judge the book before I've read it. The game of thrones series is on my wish-list. It seems to have a lot of followers so it's got me curious!

Has anyone read Gandhi: The story of my experiments with truth?I'm tempted to buy it and just curious as to peoples views on it.
