I`m currently reading Book 2 in Jodi Taylor`s The Chronicles of St Mary`s - I can`t recommend these books highly enough ! They`re very funny time-travel escapades, with some sad bits so they`re not cloying, and they`re real page-turners. And 99p for the first 3 books.

I think they`re presumed dead ; there`s very little chance once you`re in the river, because of the sudden cold and the shock to your body that causes, apparently. They`re still looking, but the river`s up 1.5 m over the past few days - flooding overnight, then again in a few days - which makes it more difficult for the river rescue people.

The last 3 ever eps of Lewis - nice ending to the show.

That`s a very decent thing to do.

The Flash 2 x 05 Crisco. Barry trying not to walk into things ?! Not sure I trust the coffee waitress yet - I know Cisco is catnip to the ladies but still, she suddenly seemed to change her mind... Is Zoom going to turn out to be `our` Wells who ended up in that Earth2 timeline before getting stranded in ours ? I`ve moved another show in my schedule and can now tape Arrow whilst watching Homeland, so I can get to it faster.

Aw, thanks Steve. I`m currently watching The Flash on Sat. and taping the Arrow on Monday night, so I`ll stay out of the thread till I`ve seen both.

It helps me, `cos you`re about 10 days ahead - I can go back and click your posts without any risk of spoilage. I might inadvertantly spoil whilst scrolling down to type !

Amazon.com sell Marmite. The nearest I can explain is that it`s like Miso paste ? Maybe ?? Like a Middle Eastern Cornish pastie ?

I missed that last year. The Police helicopter`s been over for the past couple of days, together with river search and rescue. Someone went swimming in the river and is now missing. In much nicer news, Xiao-Xiao needed more kitty litter and the supermarket was out - so I got some from Pets at Home - and - they have baby bunnies for sale ! I went to look at their pen and a cute ginger one hopped over, put its front paws up on the glass and peeped at me - it was just adorable !

I still miss that show.

Boo ! I know lots of politcians knock Greggs , but their sausage rolls are really good ( says the vegetarian. )

Marmite`s a yeast extract ; it`s very nice thinly spread on hot buttered toast... It`s the meat inside the casing - recipe here - I don`t like the mince ones at all, they seem wrong somehow ! Pic of sausagemeat. Or you could scrape the meat out of sausages?

This is true ; I`m still not 100% sure of what grits are. I assumed that pigs-in-blankets were what Americans called sausage rolls. Erm, do you know what cauliflower cheese is ? I heartily recommend it.

I`m so glad you like it ; it`s one of my best books of the year, and I recently started listening to her podcasts too - hopefully you`ll get as much out of it as I have.

This can`t be true. It just can`t ! I must`ve missed that episode of Downton Abbey where they all sit round their dining room table eating a sausge roll whilst dunking it into brown sauce.
