Some book from the school library. So hardcore

Does anybody knows any book(s) that contemplates certain branches of science? E.g. Letters to a Young Mathematician - Ian Stewart. So which discusses the use value of a branch of science etc. So not really Philosophy of Science but something close.. Hope i'm not too vague Kind regards

I think I'd be fun to read about social interactions, how to say things/make things clear etc. Does anybody know a book that deals with the above topics? Not that I have the pretention that you can learn social skills from a book rather than practice in real but.. Thanks
