  1. Thanks Brian and Alexistar! Alexistar, what an awesome challenge you're doing! Well, what's your favourite genres? I'll think about some recommendations for you! Those are great readings! I got amazed with The Host! It's so different from Twilight, it doesn't even seem the same author! *_* And I'm a Meg Cabot big fan, so almost everything by her I love! Especially these more adult books =))))
  2. Hey Peacefield, thanks! My favorite genres are under fiction: romance, young adult and fantasy. My favorite authors are (so many!!),..: Gena Showalter, Cecelia Ahern, Jennifer Echols \o/
  3. Hi! The books by Jim Butcher you have read are from The Dresden Files series?
  4. Thank you, people!
  5. hahaahhahaha thank you very much! ^^ Thank you! Well, Ape House was my first Sara Gruen's book, so it was surprising. I liked her writing and her story's development very much. It has two different characters and perspectives and my only complaint about the book was that I thought the characters would have more time together, as a team, working on the same objective. It's moving sometimes and has a big social criticism. I gave a 4-stars rating (:
  6. Thanks! I read the synopsis of Girl Meets Boy, it's seems very interesting! (:
  7. I haven't read the whole series yet, but I read first book a bit (five chapters, I guess) and it didn't amazed me at all~ The writing is poor. The author doesn't make a statement without being confusing. I guess the big thing around this book is the marketing from Twilight. The fact that was a Twi fanfiction before somehow got a lot of attention. The thing is, the author couldn't improve her writing from fanfiction level to novel level. Also, the erotic content is... I don't know, new? a tabboo? the only way to get attention? I read a LOT of erotica books - the ones that aren't afraid/ashamed to be called erotica - and this book has the MOST RIDICULOUS way of talking about sex
  8. I liked the film very much, but the book is waaaaaaaay better. For me, one of the best scenes in the book is when Katniss gets the mockingjay pin, and the way they did it on the film was lame! Also, the trailer and the promotional things shows the film way more romantic than it is in reality.
  9. Hey! Thanks for the welcome! From your read-list, I've read 2 books: both from Stephanie Plum's series! I've been meaning to read Jenny Downham's Before I Die -- I already have You Against Me by her and heard a LOT of great comments about her writing! And I'd also like to read The Catcher in the Rye, but I really don't know when I'm going to. There's a "Girl Meets Boy" in your wishlist... Who's the author? I don't know other books from your lists =( Happy read-year! \o/

  11. Hi! "Forbidden" is on my to-read-list, but I've already heard great things about it! It's very very emotional and can lead you to a whole new way of thinking about love. Of course, keep your mind open, it's not the easiest book to read (: Oh please, believe in every buzz you ever heard about John Green. He's marvelous. I haven't read TFiOS yet - although I'm dying to - but I've already read two books by Green and both are favourites of mine. This one is an all-crying kind of book *-* If you like dystopias and fantasy, there are great possibilities for you to like Hunger Games. I think you can enjoy even more than children if you see the more than just a dystopic adventure. A lot of social issues is debated subtly among the pages, it's very interesting to see. It's not just an action book, it's way more than that. And please, don't read it as if it was a romance novel (as the trailer and the film presents).
