  1. I really liked this series! I've only read the first one yet, but I already have the second one on my shelf. The egipcian background really impressed me! I haven't yet read The Heroes of Olympus series, but I want to. I liked Rick Riordan's writing a lot!
  2. I looooooooove it *_____* Jennifer Morrison is great and, obviously, Robert Carlyle has my heart, too. I forgot her name, but the one acting Red is gorgeous! S2 Also, the plot is very interesting and the connections between the characters and their two lives are intriguing and amazing. I cried a lot when I saw the episode about Belle and the Beast. S2
  3. Well... There's a classic I think it would be a good reading: The Slum by Aluisio Azevedo. There's also books by Chico Buarque, Patricia Melo and Clarice Lispector, more contemporary authors (but not so much). Sincerely, I couldn't find any of the authors I've read recently translated into English (what a shame...). Hope you like it. If you don't, just ask for more =)
  4. Just finished The Selection by Kiera Cass and it surprised me. I loved how strong the main character is and I loved the love triangle! I read some reviews on goodreads and some people didn't like it at all! For me, it's almost a favorite! I SO want to read the second book asap!
  5. I don't know if I really understand the "high fantasy" concept, but I think Richelle Mead's Dark Swan series fits in what you're looking for.
  6. Alex, what kind of book do you like to read? You asked me brazilian authors suggestion, I wanna know your favorite genres to suggest you something
  7. The Victorian setting is what's interesting me most! I think I'll be able to enjoy the reading for that, at least!
  8. I've read Mortal Instruments's City of Bones, City of Ashes and City of Glass. City of Fallen Angels and City of Lost Souls hadn't been published here yet. But sincerely, I'm not a great fan of this series. I think it's just okay. Clary got on my nerves on City of Glass, I really hated her. A lot of people has been telling me The Infernal Devices series is better, but I'm not expectant.
  9. Thanks! And I always wanted to visit Europe (: Thank you! Oh, thank you for visiting! If you ever feel interested, there's a translation tool on sidebar, it might help. =)
  10. Welcome! I love my kindle, too *-*
  11. On Chapter 6 of The Selection by Kiera Cass and liking it so far. There's a Hunger Games vibe, but it's different. At the beggining it seemed that the author couldn't choose between present or past perspective, but now she chose and maintain on past. 17% on kindle.
  12. I have this book on my shelf but haven't read yet! But your review made me curious =) Thanks!
  13. Ops, I forgot to say the series name! Yep, there's only the first of The Body Finder series here. The second one is gonna be published this year, probably in august, when happens a big book fair here! ^^
  14. so many books, so little time = story of my life =)
  15. Oh, so great! Delirium is awesome, too! Both of them, actually, are on my favorite list! =o) I saw Marina's English version on amazon, but I don't know if it's a US or UK version =\ I LOVE all Zafón's books - including this one! He's marvelous!
