  1. Enlightening vodkafan ,I feel I know mankind a little better now ,. .I think I'm finding this book hard going ,as its abit like a fairystory ,as shes not the typical woman to start with . I felt a warmth towards Alex ,as a mother would ,to take him under her wing ,which Norah didnt ,but her thinking was that of a woman in many ways . Are all the men in america as small as she made them sound .? Getting back to what Vodkafan said about the hand shake and the locker room nakedness ,its all about being (the bread winner ,the man )stepping up to showing who is the strongest provider and best for mating with. I'm not belittlling the man"s role in life ,as I wouldnt want to take on the job for all the tea in china . Thank you Vf for your rare glimpse into a man"s view on life, Fascinating stuff .
  2. I take back what I said . I do have something to say about chapter one . It makes no difference to me ,but she is definitely the male half of the lesbian relationship,as she proves in chapter two .

  6. I disagree with you on there being no difference in reading about true life horror stories ,than fictional horror .basic instincts tells you that one is real and the other is make believe .
  7. I have read tragic stories like (The boy called it ) which all thou well executied ,to painful to say I enjoyed it . I like horror to be fictitious not the real ugly world some poor soul has to live in .
  8. Would you class Virginia Andrews as a chick lit writer? She has done some brilliant novels including ( flowers in the attic 1 -3 ) (castell family saga 1-5 ), Heaven .being the first of the books,truely an emotional journay.I enjoyed every second.
  9. I would have to say that Dick Francis's novels are a a good read ,if you don't mind them having a slight horses theme .

  13. I agree with Anonymous, I love most of Deans books and I find I get sucked in to the story as part of it . strange but true

  15. I can't remember the author but a book called( Lie To Me )was one of the scarest . It starts off with a man hiding in the woods sqeezing a little girls hand ,I will say no more but its a gripping story
  16. I've read The Fog andThe Magic Cottage but can't remember anything about them ,so I would say no to his books
  17. Sorry ,I don't rate Stephen King to highly as I find his works drag on a bit and loss the plot .

  20. All according to what ones they are but if you have (Bad Place or Watchers )start there ,but all his books are wonderful .
