For non-alcoholic stuff I drink water, juice and milk. You'd think I'd float away with all the water I drink every day . I really should buy stock in some bottled water company! No soda for me; I think I had my last can in 2006. Alcohol-wise I don't drink a ton, just mainly if I go out for dinner or an occasional happy hour. I like white wine or a fruity cocktail. I loathe the taste of beer or anything with a strong alcohol taste, so I usually have an amaretto sour or an iron butterfly. Oh, and coffee, of course! I've switched to decaf lately, with a regular maybe once a week. Set a mug full of coffee with a dash of cream in it and I'm at home .

You don't look a day over 29, Weave! I'm still ugh38ugh. I do get carded occasionally when I go out though, which is nice!

Club Dead by Charlaine Harris Synopsis via Waterstones: Things between cocktail waitress Sookie and her vampire boyfriend Bill seem to be going excellently (apart from the small matter of him being undead) until he leaves town for a while. A long while. Bill's sinister boss Eric has an idea of where to find him, whisking her off to Jackson, Mississippi to mingle with the under-underworld at Club Dead. When she finally catches up with the errant vampire, he is in big trouble and caught in an act of serious betrayal. This raises serious doubts as to whether she should save him or start sharpening a few stakes of her own... I'm so glad I decided to pick up with this series again! For some reason this 3rd book seemed much more enjoyable to me than the previous, and I didn't want to put it down . When thinking about it, I decided I liked Sookie's character more, and liked how she was so independent in all of her actions. She was basically fed up, and didn't mind having to make difficult choices. Even though she was strong, she also broke down a few times, which is a very human thing to do. I also found myself rooting for her and Alcide! I liked his character a lot . All in all this was a very enjoyable read for me, and I'm looking forward to continuing. A question for you True Blood watchers since I've only seen season 1 and a couple eps of season 2 - where are the eps in relation to the books? I mean, is Alcide in the show yet? Or,

I decided to start Land of the Burnt Thigh by Edith Eudora Kohl tonight. It's an autobiographical account of 2 women who travel to South Dakota in 1907 to put a claim on a homestead. It's very interesting so far! My great-grandpa came from Norway and settled in South Dakota in about 1890, so it's a story that hits very close to home . -
I don't think I'll ever tire of watching Hitchcock films. I love every one of them! My friend and I watched Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix tonight. I hadn't seen the HP movies before now so over the past few months we've been working our way through the DVDs. Only one left, then I finally want to see a HP movie in the theatre! It was good, but to me kind of confusing. I can't imagine being a little kid and being able to understand every little bit! Although I haven't read the books either... I enjoyed it though, and adore Gary Oldman.

Mac! Ditto on post #2 (um, the books of it I've read as well ) and yes, Instance of the Fingerpost is one of my faves! I love Mr. Pears' work, as you well know. Are you planning on read his latest, A Stone's Fall? It was excellent, my friend! I also see that you're reading The Swan Thieves! What do you think of it? I absolutely loved it and I say, Ms. Kostova has done it again!

I haven't voted yet because I can't decide! I love the Seinfeld show, though, it's definitely in my top-10. Some may disagree, but for me the first season was nowhere near as funny as the rest of the seasons. I have so many fave episodes, but some of my tops are the ones where everyone has a bet to be the 'master of their own domain' and when Jerry dates the woman who has 'manhands' .

It's yummy stuff, Pickle! I like making it but sometimes it's a chore so I just get the store-bought stuff if I'm feeling lazy .
-
Mmmm houmus, Pickle, yum! My fave . Do you make it yourself? I've got some chicken sausage thawing out, so I'll grill it up tonight and have it with some salad and brussels sprouts.

Ooh I bet it did, Weave, and SO creepy I can imagine! I think I would've been scared to death . It would've been fun to see the crowds reaction at the end though .

Will do, Weave! Although I was thinking of taking a pic of FSE and using that just for the fun of it . I love yours too. I know it's not B & E but it reminds me of them .

I started Club Dead by Charlaine Harris today, and am about 50 pages in. For some odd reason I'm not as excited about continuing this series, but I'm ready to give it another go! -
I watched The Informant! tonight and it was pretty good. Unfortunately not that interesting, but it had it's funny moments. It didn't really feel like a Soderbergh film either, but what do I know?
