I know, Dimitra, but it just has some sort of weird hold on me where I just can't get enough!
I still had a good time, even after the 4th viewing. I'm one to see movies multiple times though, so it's not an odd thing for me to do this.
But yes, as to other movies, my heart aches to see them! I still need to see A Serious Man, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Men Who Stare and Goats, and Up in the Air. Man look at all those! I need help
.
As far as NM goes though, I did finally notice the detail of the missing photographs last night. Each time
the camera spirals around Bella during the Oct/Nov/Dec montage, a random snapshot she has stuck on the wall of she and Ed or she and the rest of the Cullens disappears and it just adds to the bleakness of the scene. Small but nice touch.
I also didn't notice anyone laughing
during the part of Alice's vision of Bella after she's changed
this time around. I read someone say that they thought this was Weitz trying to be campy, but it seems an awfully serious scene to do that. Who knows! Wish I could ask him in person...

I feel a nice salad coming on tonight
. I haven't had them all week, which is odd for me. But I took some chicken out of the freezer so once I grill it up it'll make for a nice topping!

So who all here hasn't seen the film yet at all? I can't keep track
.
I'm getting ready to head out the door for viewing number 4. Excited!!
-
I love the commentary too, it's hilarious. I'm already anticipating the commentary for NM and it should be fun with all three stars and Chris, who is hilarious himself
.
Right now i'm watching my email box at work. Two of our main programs we use every day are not up yet and I'm going to enter panic mode if I don't get an email soon telling me they are back up!

Last night we hit our fave Indian restaurant and shared all kinds of yummy apps! We had veggie and beef Samosas, Alu Tikki, Paneer Pakora and Chicken Pakora. Amazingness
, and tonight it's leftovers of the above!
-
I have Edward Cullen saying "I still don't know if I can control myself" as my sms tone....
Awww that's excellent, Nici! I have the commentary's RP saying "naughty!" as mine
.

Libri, let us know when you decide to read Count of Monte Cristo! That's definitely my most fave book of all time
.

I loved the scene with Jacob and Paul fighting as wolves, I thought t was cool how the hit the 'camera' as the rolled into the woods
I love the Thom Yorke song ~ 'Hearing Damage', it suited the scene so much with Victoria
I like that fight scene too, Weave, with the knocking the camera to the ground and all. It was really cool and a nice touch
. That whole part after was funny too in Emily's cabin.
Hearing Damage is excellent! I thought it suited that scene as well and made me love the song even more.

Twilight with the commentary on - HILARIOUS at points, Jasper chanting round the fire and Rob's sculpted eyebrows hahaha
Noll, have I NOT told you that this is the only way to watch the film?!
It's my preferred method of viewership with that one. I never tire of hearing those comments and may or may not have some of them as my mobile ringtone/message alert
.

They are! Especially if you get them from Polly's Pancake Parlour in Sugar Hill, New Hampshire. Heaven on a plate!
-
But the real question is, do they make potato smilies in waffle form?!
I'm more of a pancake person myself, but I wouldn't turn down homemade or Leggo toaster waffles if they were offered
.
Tonight I'm heading out to eat to our fave Indian restaurant so I'm debating as I type on what I'll have... YUM!

I'm really missing out here not seeing the film (who knows when I'll get a chance) but until then I firmly on Team Edward
Alright Stephanie! I'm glad to hear it
.
Noll, I can't bring myself to pick just one fave, but my top 5 would be:
Hearing Damage - Thom Yorke
Shooting the Moon - OK Go
Satellite Heart - Anya Marina
Monsters - Hurricane Bells
The Violet Hour - Sea Wolf
Followed very closely by all the rest of the tracks
.

Wow lots of intense discussion happening, I like it! It's a wee bit early for me though so I'll come back later to impart my wisdom
. I will say that if I were your age, Noll, I might be your fellow team member. Being coughthirtysevencough however Edward just appeals to me on a whole other level I guess
.
What are you waiting for, Kylie78?! Go see the film!
Oh, and Weave, I agree with you wholeheartedly
.

Yep, I'm on Ed's team! Jake is too young and impulsive, but that's just me
. I love the brooding, worried, protective types. Charm has the right idea about soothing him
. Glad you loved the film though, Charm! Weitz did such a fantastic job it's not even funny.
Noll, I wasn't sure about a few of the songs on the soundtrack upon listening before I ever saw the film, and there were even a couple which I skipped. Now though, I listen to them all and those less-liked ones have grown on me! I wasn't huge on 'Possibility' at first, but now I know it's over my fave scene (Oct/Nov/Dec montage) and I love it. The scene in the garage between Bella and Jake is 'Shooting the Moon' by OK Go. Also, I really liked the Thom Yorke song 'Hearing Damage' before I saw the movie, but now I love it more (is that possible?! lol) because it's over my other fave scene, with Victoria being chased in the woods by Charlie and the pack

I actually talked my friend into going with me instead of my hubby, I do think it will be a much more girly film and can't be doing with him sitting beside me smirking and rolling his eyes
Of course I told her she had to watch Twilight first, you know, to get the background (plus I secretly knew she'd fall in love with Edward)
. She loved it so much she watched it twice and is chomping at the bit to see New Moon!
She's also a reader, so I'm ordering the first three books in the saga off The Book People (

I just saw Prince (or is he still called 'The Artist Formerly Known As?) at the football game and had to laugh. He's sitting up there just trying to blend in, watching the game, but he's Prince! He's a hometown guy though so I can't be too critical.

Hey there and welcome to BCF, Claire! Glad you joined up
.
-
I'm glad you came back to share your thoughts, Fi! I was getting worried that you loved it a bit too much and were just hanging out in a sparkly daze
.
Come back and let us know what your fave and not-so-fave parts were, and good luck on Tuesday!
Lexie, I can't help it! For some reason new converts make me very emotional
.

*sniff* I'm so happy for you Charm! You've come so far in your Twi-journey,
.
Seriously though, can't wait to hear what you think!

NFL football, woohoo!

I'd be surprised if RP did the television spinoff. It'd be weird to have just him and none of the rest of the cast from the films, and man, if he doesn't end up being typecast after these 4 Twi films he certainly would be after doing TV. I love vampire shows just as much as the next person, but Vampire Diaries and True Blood is enough for now, geez.
I like that avvie, Noll, his face looks exactly like that's what he's saying
.
Glad you liked the film, Dimitra! Was it your first time seeing it? I agree about Weitz, he did an amazing job imo. I did notice some of that cheesy dialogue when I saw it again yesterday, and I must admit I was cringing a bit. I also had a hard time with
Alice's entrance into the clock tower (breaking the door), coming in whilst taking off her sunglasses and scarf saying "come on guys." That was a bit much for me, lol.
I loved the Oct-Nov-Dec scene too, and I read last night that
also during that part, every time the camera goes around Bella a photo from the wall is removed. Not sure if it's a photo of Edward or ? I'm kicking myself for not noticing it though after 3 viewings!
-
I saw the full trailer for Sherlock Holmes on Friday, and I really want to see it now. I love Robert Downey Jr and Rachel McAdams, although I'm not always that keen on Jude Law (memories of Cold Mountain still make me shudder - awful film), but I'm definitely looking forward to see this one.
I'm looking forward to seeing this one too, Chesil! I generally love Guy Ritchie films (except for Swept Away, eww, which doesn't count because his ex made him do it) and this one looked excellent from the trailers. Luckily I never saw Cold Mountain, and I'm looking forward to seeing Jude in something again since it seems like it's been awhile.

Finished New Moon and this time enjoyed every page, if not the Edward pages less than the Jacob ones. Considering I hated it the first time through due to all the Jacob, the next two should seem considerably improved now.
I worry about myself.
Noll! I'm interested to hear what you think after your re-read of BD. For me, it was the book I liked least out of the series. In fact, except for a few bits, I can safely say I hated it
.
I got quite a bit further in Lost Symbol last night, and am about just shy of halfway. Hopefully I'll get it finished by next weekend!
-
Third time's a charm!
I'm kicking myself though, I swear I heard some funny lines I missed in my first 2 viewings, but I can't remember what they were!

No way, Lexie, really?! I never even noticed that, but man, that's a rookie mistake, Chris!
Hmm, now I'll just have to go see it again so I can spot the cameraman
.
Glad you liked it, Julia! Did you have any fave parts or stuff you didn't really go for?
