  1. I had dinner with a friend tonight and then we watched Up in the Air, which I loved! I'm glad I finally got to see it, and I noticed how much I liked the music in it too .
  2. Lunch, which is some chicken, crackers and this to-die-for garlic cheddar cheese. Oh and some hummus to dip everyting in ,
  3. Coffee and a bowl of strawberries .
  4. So I've heard, Charm! But really, the world cannot have too many series of vampire books, am I right?! Mucho to you and sparkly good vibes my friend!
  5. Just finished a salad with lots of yummy feta, chicken, red onions and mushrooms tossed in. I went shopping today and I love having fresh produce back in the fridge!
  6. Chandler Black & White or Colour photo?
  7. Christopher Guest et al are a bunch of geniuses, Chesil! I love that movie too . I think 'Waiting for Guffman' is my fave, but 'Best in Show' isn't far behind.
  8. I heard the tail end a report on the the radio today about Details magazine's vote for 'Sexiest Vampire of 2010.' I didn't hear who it was so I called in and the DJ told me it was Eric . I told him that these were the things I thought about on a daily basis!
  9. I love Bones! I only just recently started watching it religiously last year so there's plenty to catch up on. Who knew Angel could do comedy so well?! I love the whole cast together .
  10. Some yummy dark chocolate!
  11. I'm sorry you haven't been feeling well, Charm! I hope you'll be on the mend soon . Great reviews too, and I do have Guilty Pleasures on my shelf to be read soon so I'm looking forward to it .
  12. I'm with Chesil, can I just have a calendar full of Junes please?! I get Jane for February. Oh well...
  13. Oh yeah I forgot about Toby's dad! That was an interesting back story, I agree. I had no idea before then what kind of guy his dad was! It was nice at the end though with those two . I loved the one with CJ going home too - such great writing! I have New Moon on in the background, with the commentary on. I'm back home, so it just feels like the first thing I should be playing .
  14. Pickles. My fridge is almost bare! I obviously need to shop this weekend.
  15. Woo for Shining re-reads, Rawr!! One of ze best re-readable books IMO . Glad you received Bel-Ami okay, Kimmy! The US postal service is better than I thought, since I just posted it on Friday . I only managed to read a few pages of PP&Z this morning, but hopefully I'll get more than just a few in tonight before turning out my light.
  16. Hello and welcome to BCF, Susie! Glad to have you . I have 'The House at Riverton' on my TBR shelf and am looking forward to it!
  17. Blowing curtains and floating feathers! Ugh... I take it a '12 Certificate' for you guys is a rating system, right? Kind of like our PG-13, which is in between a PG (parental guidance suggested) and R (restricted). I need to do some research and see just how much directors can get away with these days, LOL. Interesting about the Bill Condon rumor! TBH, I've never seen any of his films. Kinsey was kind of racey, wasn't it? Or maybe that was just the subject matter. Anyway, so far I'm not impressed. I wonder what drew Summit to him when I'm sure they could get anyone?? Oh, and I haven't seen 30 Days of Night either, but I might have to now after hearing you guys talk about it! I'm not much of a horror movie person though but at least I could watch it at home with all the lights on and my eyes closed if need be . I can't wait for Bel-Ami!! Rated R and whatever the equivalent in the UK - bring it on!!!
  18. Hey there and welcome to BCF, Luthien! Glad you joined us!
  19. You are approved! I like it a lot. Right now I'm just adding titles and will go back and add mini reviews. I'm not at home right now so just thinking in my head of the books I own .
  20. Okay guys, I've joined and am slowly but surely adding my books! I'm there as 'peacefield,' duh!
  21. Cool, Weave! I wonder what possessed him to do a cameo for the film? Maybe he's a friend of Slade... Excellent news, and now your OH has to go see Eclipse with you .
  22. I expect a 2000 word essay/review in my PM box soon, Frankie! Just kidding... I'll have NCIS on in the background tonight, but not sure how much I'll see since I have to pack up already to head back home tomorrow.
  23. Is it because I'm American that I don't know what haricot beans are? For us, baked beans can be many different kinds of beans (kidney, great northern, etc) baked in the oven with tomato sauce, brown sugar and bacon. Very tasty when they are homemade!
  24. Is that the one where there's a big snow storm and Leo is trying to get emergency aid sent to Bethlehem, Stephanie? That acapella group is stuck in the West Wing and Donna's trying to get out to meet Jack for the holidays I think... I watched one of my fave concerts last night, the Chili Peppers at Slane castle .
  25. Depends on who you ask, Inver, but I'm afraid I can't talk to you any more .
