  1. I love them too, Weave!! I think they have a new CD coming out soon so that's exciting! LOVE their sound.
  2. Ooooh I'm so excited! Lots of good bands so far . I love The Black Keys and Vampire Weekend. Oh and Florence and the Machine! Woo! Thanks for keeping us informed, Fi!
  3. Starbucks latte and a blueberry scone, which I warmed up, mmm .
  4. Carry Me Home - The Dig
  5. Is that a phone, Jim? I can't stand listening to people shuffle when they walk. It's one thing if you're a little kid, but a 30-something adult walking around the office and you can't pick up your feet?! Ugh .
  6. There was finally a new ep of Big Bang Theory on tonight and I laughed all the way through! My favorite line: Raj to Howard: "She wants New Delhi, not Kosher Deli!"
  7. Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives .
  8. Falafel for me tonight! Yum .
  9. Oooh, wonderful, Charm! I can't wait .
  10. Interesting tidbit of info, Fi, thanks! I wish we'd get more clues about the soundtrack, I mean, it's coming out in a month and how do we not know the official line-up? Odd. I need to check out Jesse and Joy though, I've never heard of them.
  11. Great, nicx27! I'm glad to hear that, and glad I have another book of hers to hunt for after this one .
  12. Loving The House at Midnight so far!
  13. I felt bad for my friend who had tickets to the game yesterday, Abby! But they're playing a double-header today so hopefully she doesn't have other plans and can go to the rescheduled game tonight . Such is the cost of an outdoor stadium, right? I've got the morning news on at the mo...
  14. True! Thankfully they haven't yet started filming Water for Elephants so I have plenty of time, but I'm going to enjoy picturing The Neck as the main character when I do start reading it . How are you finding Crimson Pedal, Frankie? It's quite a large book, and I started reading The House at Midnight last night and am really getting into it so I think I'll save Crimson Pedal for later . I might still join the group though just so I can say I'm in with you cool peeps!
  15. Street Fighting Man - Rolling Stones
  16. Coffee and a bananaaaaa .
  17. I'm so glad you enjoyed Light in the Attic, Kylie! Shel is excellent - I wonder if he's still out there writing?! My friend brought me Water for Elephants tonight so I'm excited to read that one soon. Need to see what all the fuss is about! I was also given The Crimson Pedal and the White and a random vampire book that I can't remember the title of at the moment...
  18. Industrial Magic by Kelley Armstrong Synopsis provided by Waterstone's: After Paige Winterbourne is ousted as leader of the American Coven of Witches, all she wants to do is hide under her duvet for a few months. Let the supernatural world manage without her, see if she cares...But fate, of course, has other plans. A murderer is on the loose - someone with superhuman skills. When Paige learns that the killer is targeting children, she realises she has to get involved in the covert investigation. And so Paige - desperate to protect those she loves - is thrown into a world of arrogant Cabal leaders, drunken necromancers, sulky druid gods and pretentious leather-clad vampires. Luckily, she has a female werewolf and a certain renegade sorcerer on her side... Yet another wonderful installment from Kelley Armstrong! This is my 4th read in the Women of the Otherworld series, and I'm glad I got to delve more into the world of Paige, Lucas, Savannah and the rest of the 'supernaturals.' I even got to see a glimpse of Elena and Clay, plus Adam, such a lovely boy! It was nice to see the inner-workings of the Cabals, and just how Lucas and his siblings and father interacted. I'd want to rid myself of that scary family too! I'm excited to see what kind of a life Lucas, Paige and Savannah build for themselves in the future.
  19. I decided to start The House at Midnight by Lucie Whitehouse later tonight. All this rain is making me in the mood for creepy English houses on moors...
  20. The Office. The Twins game is rained out so no baseball for me tonight!
  21. Want! Man, now we have to start thinking of Eclipse merch, ugh. I'm still excited though!
  22. Yes I do! I'm going to expect my brother not to remember to call my mom on Sunday and then hopefully be pleasantly surprised when he does!
  23. Oooh pretty, Weave!! Plus I like how there aren't any Jacob magnets . I have a set similar to that but I like yours better. I love the buttons too!
  24. LOL Yes! In fact, wasn't it last month for you guys? Mother's Day is a bit early this year here. So many times in the past we'd be up at the cabin because of opening fishing weekend, and that always falls on the 3rd weekend of May. My mom loved being up north in the woods that weekend . Smelly fisher-people and traffic jams was her favorite, LOL.
