    From what I gather, The BBC are going to spend the next 4 years, commorating the 1st World War, In various programmes throughout their output. What do you think?

      Should be 5 years though? Can't imagine it will be daily coverage but it would be interesting if they would commemorate events exactly 100 years after they happened.

      since both my Grandfathers fought in the first war, I am pleased that they will do something to commemorate it

      the second world war has got saturation coverage in schools here, but next to nothing [indeed nothing at all] is learned about the first war.
