  1. The cullens from twilight & I'd be Edwards Bella. She can move over there's a new girl in town HAHA
  2. I really want to read one of Nicholas Sparks' books but have no idea where to start. I've seen Dear John & Notebook & blubbed at them both. I think I'll like his novels. Which book would you recommend for a first timer? I love sad stories that really move you. //
  3. I've not read any of Lesley Pearse books before but I have Belle on my wish list. I get the impression Lesley's books are based in 'older times' from what I've read on the net but with being fairly young I wonder if I'll enjoy her writting or not however Belle sounds right up my street from the blurb.

    Race is on!

Where am I now lol? I thought I posted in the general forum. Did I post it in the wrong place? Sorry too many choices of boards I get a little confused (doesn't take much) Ben that is my plan. No outside for me & TV is defo banned hee hee Thanks Michelle I don't want any spoilers that's for sure
  5. Ok you probs already know I'm reading the Twilight Saga for the first time & I'm totally obsessed with it. I'm a quarter way through eclipse & so far I have no idea what happens in Breaking Dawn although I hear it's amazing & kind of know a certain thing thanks to the newspaper letting it drop. They've now released the trailer for it so I'm trying my hardest not to see it. The sun have released it so guessing it'll be on the tv soon ARRRRGHHHHHH I really want to have read the book before I see anything. Race is officially on .......... Wish me luck lol
  6. Ok that makes sense. I forget they reduce the price of the books. Thanks for clearing that up for me. Still think they should be cheaper though
  7. Is it just me who finds the prices for books (do you call them that on a kindle lol) a little odd. I haven't got a kindle but I've noticed that on Amazon some of the kindle books are slightly more expensive (ok we're probs talking pennies) than paperback. I would of thought if it's electronic & it hasn't had to be printed it should be cheaper to buy as it hasn't cost so much to produce. I'd think it would be cheaper than just a few pennies too. Just my opinion.
  8. Thanks for replying both but what .... ??
  9. I haven't read any of Jodi's books yet but I have a couple on my wish list of hers. Has anyone read Handle with Care? I love the sound of this & the pact
  10. Just came across your post even though it is an old one sorry. I recently read 1 of susan lewis' books. I read lost innocence. Loved her style of writing & was drawn in from the first few pages but felt cheated & let down by the ending. Only because it's not what I expected. We didn't really get an answer. I'd read another of hers though ... any recommendations?
  11. Anybody read the above book? If so what did you think? I read it about a month ago & I'd never read anything by Susan Lewis before. I loved her style of writing & was sucked in from the first few pages. The subject matter of the book really intrested me BUT I felt cheated by the ending & the outcome. wondered if anybody else felt like this? From the back cover .... When Alicia Carlyle returns to the home of her childhood after the tragic death of her husband, she is hoping to put the past behind her. But first she must come face to face with the woman who nearly destroyed her marriage and tore her family in two – her sister-in-law, Sabrina. Their enmity runs deep, but Alicia is determined to make a fresh start for herself and her two children, Nathan and Darcie, and to heal her fractured relationship with her beloved brother. However, just when it looks as if they might have a chance at a brighter future, Sabrina’s fifteen-year-old daughter, Annabelle, accuses seventeen-year-old Nathan of a crime he insists he didn’t commit. And once more the two families are locked in a battle that is fraught with mistrust, betrayal and lies – a battle that threatens to destroy them all… Just interested on others views
  12. I've only just recently started using my library. I used to use it a lot when I was younger. I can't believe how advanced it is. It's so much better. I can go online & search for books & reserve them & choose which library I'd like to collect them from & they deliver them there & email me when my books arrived. They move them around from different libraries in the area. Best part is it's ALL FREE. I think it's an amazing service!!!

I didn't think I'd enjoy the books after watching the films but I was so wrong. chesilbeach - I cannee wait to get stuck into those other threads. May be a while though yet Breaking Dawn is HUGE I've never seen a ficiton book so thick lol. x P.s - does anyone know why I'm not getting the email notifications to say I have a reply
  16. Hey guys & gals!! I'm Lu Lu from the not so sunny UK & I'm new here. I'm currently reading the twilight saga (please DO NOT spoil it for me anyone I'm begging you ). I've watched all the films since the day they came out & only decided 2 weeks ago to finally try the books (A little far behind every1 else I know). I'm already on Eclipse & can't wait to finally find out how they end. I LOVE THEM!!!!!! It's true what people say - the books are sooooooooo much better than the films. I have fallen in love with Mr Edward Cullen all over again. The things he does to me I can't explain what these books do to me. I have found myself daydreaming & constantly walking around with a MASSIVE smile on my face (mainly twilight) & feel like I'm in la la land whilst reading them. (especially twilight, it really did make me go a little weird) Has anybody else found this or just me????? They really are magical in my eyes up until this point anyway. AGAIN PLEASE DON'T SPOIL BREAKING DAWN FOR ME lol!!!! Bye for now mwah xx
