  1. Finished Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs.
  2. I have one very overstuffed bookshelf, six cardboard boxes packed full, several shopping bags full under the bed and numerous piles around the house and my childhood books are stored in a very large pine box. I need a bigger house!
  3. Hands pressed her shoulders down. When the spinning ceased, a young man such as she had never seen before knelt beside her.At least, he was young in appearance, though the weight of years could be felt through his mild manner. Green Rider - Kristen Britain
  4. I watched Sanctum last night.
  5. A customer recommended Tigana to me a couple of months ago, so my boss ordered in a couple of copies. I am a fairly slow reader and after seeing the size of it I have been a bit loathe to start it, I already have a few hefty sized novels on my TBR pile, is it worth adding this one? I have never read any of his books before.
  6. I still have my copies of this series from when I was 12, haven't had the time to re-read them though.
  7. Resident Evil: Apocalypse. No where near as good as the others, the special effects were good but the storyline had nothing going for it at all.
  8. January A Game of Thrones - George R R Martin Skellig - David Almond
  9. Today I finished A Game of Thrones by George R R Martin and started Skellig by David Almond.
  10. I didn't come home from work empty handed today, I bought Skellig by David Almond.
  11. I didn't buy any but my Mum came over with the hardcover Enid Blyton books that I used to read as a child. She was going to get rid of them and thought my daughter might read them. They are a bit beyond her reading level but with my help she is doing ok with them. She started with Don't Be Silly, Mr Twiddle. Last night I managed to knock off another chapter of A Game of Thrones.
  12. Tomorrow When the War Began. Naturally the book was way better, but under the circumstances it wasn't too bad, better than I expected.
  13. Marmaduke - watched it with my 8 year old. Skellig - great performance by Tim Roth
  14. Last nights viewing was Legion. It wasn't quite what I was expecting, but just as good as I thought it would be.
  15. I am a huge Naruto fan but I am currently reading Ai Yori Aoshi.
  16. I am currently purchasing the graphic adaptation of Peter S Beagle's The Last Unicorn... I am so in love
  17. I love Tim Burton! This book is a must for anyone who likes his slightly darker and twisted sense of humour. I showed my copy to my sister-in-law who promptly fell in love with it and made me order her two copies, one for a present to her sons' teacher and one for herself.
  18. I watched Inception last night. I had been hanging out to see it but I was so tired that I couldn't concentrate and ended up having no idea what happened and didn't understand it at all, so I will have to give it another go when I am in a better frame of mind.

    Hi Everyone

Hello, I am a 27 year old from Western Australia. I am fortunate enough to work in a bookstore and unfortunate enough to live in a house full of non-readers. I mostly read fantasy and biographies but I am attempting to broaden my horizons.
