  1. Born and dragged-up in South Hertfordshire, England It's a nice place to live with lots of open fields and woodlands around. Although I'd love to move up to the Lake District (Keswick Or Kendal).
  2. Alkaline Trio - All On Black
  3. WOOHOOO!!!!! I've finished The Dark Tower: Wolves Of The Calla. What a book. Wizzard and Glass is still my fav. by a long shot but this one is easily the next best on the series so far. Now I can finish the "A Night's Dawn" saga I'll start The Naked God when I get home.
  4. I've often wanted to be Joshua Calvert from Peter F. Hamilton's A Night's Dawn series. Such an extravagant life, Plus, Ione Saldana sounds like the perfect woman to me.
  5. Not too bad. He's done some biggies in his time.
  6. I'm on this one ATM too. How far through are you?I'm also quite worried about the tele-adaptation of this. Unless someone like Stevie Spielberg is doing it (he like doing King stuff), then I won't be so anxious.

    Hi!

Hi Claudia, Welcome to BCF! To be pedantic, doesn't make sense. It should read "but if you see something wrong in my writing, let me know". Other wise your English appears to be excellent. EDIT: I hope I haven't just misread an obvious joke
  8. Supersonic by Bad Religion
  9. My Favourite was always Jasper, from start to finish. Bella was my least favourite, mostly because her damn complaining bugged me.
  10. I was down in Camber Sands at the weekend for the SFX Weekender, Managed to get the majority of Peter F. Hamilton's books and get them signed by him. He is such a nice chap and a I really enjoyed his hour of Q&As. I was a little saddened at the mental state of Terry Pratchett. I think it's quite obvious that he won't be writing any more books by himself anymore
  11. I suppose Sci-Fi is not classed as Fantasy in this instance? If it is then you can count Peter F. Hamilton. Robert Rankin is also a fantastic Fantasy writer. Joe Abercrombie is another that springs to mind.
  12. Watched Goodfellas the other night. A pretty good watch and Joe Pesci is outstanding, but not one of my favourites. I'm not into the gangster type films.
  13. It's some of the replies that really get me.
  14. Damn it Kylie I was just posting that!!!! What an awesome site. I've stopped breathing a couple of times through laughing at some of those.
  15. AHAHAHAHA. You two are awful! You've really made me giggle I've recently got hold of Hyperion by Dan Simmons and put it on my iPod (Which is my main source of audio for the car now). I know what you guys mean when you say you'll have to listen to them twice (Even without shuffle HEHE ) Sometimes it gets hard to concentrate of driving and the story at the same time. I either go into autopilot and drive to work instead of the place I was meant to be going or things suddenly get a bit
  16. Well if the Golden Globes are anything to go by, The Social Network should pickup quite a few of these. Edit: My pridictions as follows: Best Actor - Colin Firth in “The King's Speech” Best Supporting Actor - Christian Bale in “The Fighter” Best Actress - Natalie Portman in “Black Swan” Best Supporting Actress - Helena Bonham Carter in “The King's Speech” Animated Feature Film - Toy Story 3 Art Direction - “Inception” - Production Design: Guy Hendrix Dyas; Set Decoration: Larry Dias and Doug Mowat Cinematography - “Inception” Wally Pfister (I'd like to have said "The book of Eli" purely for the Gun fight in the house scene... it blew my mind!) Costume Design - “Alice in Wonderland” Colleen Atwood Directing - “The Social Network” David Fincher Film Editing - “127 Hours” Jon Harris Music (original score) - “The Social Network” Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross (It's ridiculous that Daft Punk are not nominated here for Tron. That soundtrack is astonishing) Best Picture - Either “The King's Speech” or “The Social Network” Short Film (animated) - “The Gruffalo” Jakob Schuh and Max Lang Sound Editing - “Inception” Richard King Sound Mixing - “Inception” Lora Hirschberg, Gary A. Rizzo and Ed Novick Visual Effects - “Inception” Paul Franklin, Chris Corbould, Andrew Lockley and Peter Bebb Writing (original screenplay) - “The King's Speech” Screenplay by David Seidler
