Battle Los Angeles
The film is a mixture of Black Hawk Down, District 9 and Independence Day. I really enjoy the action though at times it was like watching Cloverfield because the camera was moving too fast for you to see anything. You won't get much acting or plot but if you want action then you should enjoy it. 7/10
Finished Killing Floor by Lee Child yesterday. It was amazing. There were a couple flaws but who cares right. The story was great and I started Die Trying yesterday. 4.5/5
Unstoppable - I enjoyed it and as usually Denzel was solid. I don't know how much of the story is true but it was a good edge of your seat thriller. 8/10
That is one of Baldacci's weaker effort. If you are looking for Baldacci's best work I recommend The Winner, Absolute Power or Simple Truth.
If you are looking for a good mystery I recommend Michael Connelly's The Poet, Robert Crais's L.A. Requeim or Jeffery Deaver's The Bone Collector.
Sorta new here but glad to be part of this forum. I love mystery and my favorite authors are Michael Connelly, David Baldacci, Robert Crais, Michael Crichton, and Jeffery Deaver.

I'm on a waiting list for this book. I'm going to read it soon. I've read that they are making a movie out of this with Steven Speilberg either producing or directing.
Which book should I start with?
Thank you.
I looked John Sandford and the Lucas Davenport sounds good to me. It will be my next read as soon as I finish what I'm reading now.
I'm a big fan of whodunit that has police and detectives putting clues together to find the serial killer. I love Michael Connelly, Robert Crais, Jeffery Deaver and one of Jefferson Parker's Blue Hour and looking for something similar to these.
I read that one and it wasn't one of his best. I just finished The Sleeping Doll recently and it was okay at best. I will give him credit that he doesn't do a lot twists and turns which at times ruin the book for me.
I'm trying not to brag but I figured the ending halfway through the book so I kept reading to see if I was right and sure enough I was but still a good book nonetheless.
