How does Your Bookshelf Grow?

I decided to organise my bookcase today. It's a cheap little chipboard monstrosity from argos or something so I had to be creative to cram all of my books back in. I need a better solution. Where do you guys keep your books? I've seen them in the weirdest places, on the windowsill, in the bathroom, propping up the car from when the wheels were sold. Also, how do you categorise your books, by author, by subject? I'm just curious. Go! Answer now!
