I've never seen this show either, which is a little weird because from what I've heard about it, it is my kind of show.
  2. Ooh that would be great, thanks... as long as it's not putting you to too much trouble. He's just so cute, I'd love to be able to track him down!
  3. Wow! We're all a bunch of freaks on here! I'm not superstitious at all when it comes to walking under ladders, Friday the 13th, killing spiders etc. but I am when it comes to routine, especially my working week routine. I have to get up at the exact same time each morning. I have to make the bed before I get dressed, NEVER afterwards. I like to be showered, dressed, hair done and make up on by a certain time. I sit and watch the same 15 minutes of GMTV every morning while eating my breakfast (which is always the same thing - cocoa pops) and I HAVE to leave the house for work exactly 30 minutes before I'm due to start and if I'm ready to leave before this, even just by a couple of minutes, I have to hang around until the clock hits the half hour mark. Oh and I have to walk the EXACT same way to work each morning... I also have to cross over roads in the exact same place too! If my routine is off by a couple of minutes, or I have to cross the road in a slightly different place than normal because of someone crossing the other way, or because there's a car parked in the wrong place, or because of something equally as silly... well, let's just say it can really screw my day up. It really puts me off my stride and I then worry that something will go wrong at some point during my day and it will have been this that has caused it!
  4. Ooh I'm totally with you on this one. I find it really hard, impossible almost, to resist a pretty, hardback notebook. I have dozens of them, none of which I have used. I originally started buying them in the hope that it would inspire me to keep a handwritten journal, and although I have started to keep one a couple of times over the years they've only ever lasted a few days, a week at most, before I've given up on them. Keeping a handwritten journal is so time consuming compared with online journaling, so instead of lots of pretty notebooks sitting on a shelf filled with my lifestory to look back on in years to come, they're solely there for the purpose of looking pretty! I might use them at some point, at some time, for something!
  5. I've had a really good reading day today. This morning I started The Difference a Day Makes by Carole Matthews and so far I've read 257 pages. I could potentially finish it this evening if I put my mind to it. I've also just realised that I still haven't gotten around to starting a book log on here, so I'll have to pencil that in as a job to do tomorrow.
  6. I've just gone through this entire thread looking at all the images that have been posted of both completed projects and works in progress and I just have to say that you are a talented bunch of people! Oh and this... ... has to be one of the cutest things I have ever seen! It is just so adorable. I have a bit of thing about hedgehogs! Can I ask where you got it from?
  7. Ooh yeah, I forgot Carole Matthews too. Her books are great, well with the exception of one that is, It's a Kind of Magic, which I have never quite been able to read in full... yet. I'm reading one of hers at the moment, The Difference a Day Makes, and it is turning out to be another fantastic read! It's really making me chuckle!
  8. I agree with Ruth; reading one great book by an author just makes me want to go out, track down the rest of their back catalogue and get stuck in.
  9. No I haven't read The Bone Garden yet, but I have seen it in my local library quite a few times so I will definitely check it out the next time I visit. Thanks for the advice about her earlier books; I see they're rather cheap on Amazon at the moment so I think I might treat myself to a couple.
  10. Love Happens - a sweet film. Cute and funny.
  11. I've read a few of the books from the Rizzoli & Isles series and absolutely loved them, but I was just wondering if anyone on here had read any of her earlier books - the ones that seem to be classed as Romantic Thrillers/Suspense. I've read mixed reviews on Amazon and was just wondering if anyone on here had read any of them and if so what did you think of them? Are they still worth a read?
  12. I don't think I've ever had any major mishaps with any of my books, or at least not that I can think of. I have occasionally spilt tea on a book, but thankfully it's been more of a splash rather than an actual spill so I've managed to avoid a full blown catastrophe!
  13. My TBR pile is huge at the moment, as in 400+ books, so I do sometimes find it a little bit daunting when it comes to picking my next book. I do try and have an idea in my head of the next 3 or 4 books that I want to read next though, so a lot of the time it's just a case of narrowing it down to one. This isn't always as easy as it seems though! I have been known to spend about an hour looking through them all trying to decide on one!
  14. I love chick-lit. It's great for a bit of escapism. My favourite authors would probably be Paige Toon, Milly Johnson, Melanie Rose and Melissa Hill; although her books are a little bit more than just your average chick-lit... they have a bit more substance to them.
  15. It has to be the magical world of Harry Potter for me too. I mean who wouldn't want to go to Hogwarts?!
  16. My reading activity this week has been nonexistent, mainly due to work commitments, but Sundays were made for snuggling up with a good book and that's exactly what I plan on doing today. I just have to figure out which book to start...
  17. Thanks. I'm actually working my way through the NCIS box sets at the moment, but as soon as I've finished them I'll make a start on the Gilmore Girls. It might mean having to watch numerous episodes back to back to catch up but that's not exactly a hardship!
  18. I have to say that I'm not a huge fan of ice cream, unless it's in the form of a White Magnum that is, but if I had to pick one I'd say Vanilla.
