Hi Karen, That's a lot of Stephen King books you have on your list. Although i don't read any of his stuff anymore i did enjoy his earlier books & i did like The Stand. Good luck with your book challenges this year
-
I enjoyed Rivers Of London & have Moon over Soho to read as well so i look forward to reading your thoughts on these two. Train journeys are a great opportunity to get a sizable chunk of reading done aren't they i always take my book with me if i have an appointment so never mind having to wait
-
I have quite a few of the classics i want to get to as well some are re reads like Austen & also Jude The Obscure which i attempted when i was much younger but couldn't get into. I loved The Barchester Chronicles but have never read The Palliser novels so that's also on my to do list but wether i fit them all into one year is another matter. As for the books bought list i could do with not buying any at all but i know that's one challenge i'd definitely fail at but hopefully a list will help me keep myself in check failing that it'll have to be a strait jacket Those were the days before i joined the forum & my TBR books still fitted on my bookshelves Thanks Brian , i thought about paying one of the children to do it for me but they charge too much

Are the Stephanie Plum books YA fiction ? Just wondering if my 13 yr old would like them, i'm always looking for books to broaden her reading choices as she's hooked on vampire books at the moment. The Book Thief gets the a big thumbs from me as well. Hope you like it VF
-
Thanks Kylie , i'd love to put my TBR books in a nice neat list on here but i'd have to type it up with my elbows sticking out to keep the kids at bay , my middle daughter gets withdrawal symptoms if she doesn't go on Tumblr regularly & my youngest one is addicted to club penguin. I hardly get time to indulge my own BCF addiction Thanks Noll, i like to choose my books as i go along as i often change my mind about what i want to read next especially when i read other peoples recommendations
-
I'm pleased to be the first to wish you happy reading adventures in 2013 Poppy & i look forward to seeing the hang gliding & mountaineering pics when you post them
-
Happy Reading in 2013 Steve hope you have a good one....

Thanks Poppy, i have a couple of non fiction titles that i 'm definitely bumping to the top of the pile, The Bounty: The True Story of The Mutiny on The Bounty Caroline Alexander & Nathaniel's Nutmeg by Giles Milton. I'm planning on wowing people with my new found knowledge in 2013 although not sure how i'll manage to work the spice trade into a bus stop conversation but going to give it a go Thanks Frankie, i'm feeling very positive about next year I totally wimped out over the TBR list VF, at a rough estimate i think i have pushing 500 books on my TBR mountain now & it would take me so long to type all that out the kids would lynch me for hogging the computer. I suppose i could change my books bought section to a TBR list & add them bit by bit though it' probably take me most of the year but i would love to share my lovely books with everyone That's going to be me next year Chaliepud, totally chilled Thanks Weave , i look forward to chatting books with you next year Thanks Chesil, i'm looking forward to next year i know it's going to be a good year for reading for me Thanks Devi , don't mind you calling me KM at all feel free to pop in & say hi anytime Thanks Lilywhite, the Read 3 Buy 1 sounds like a good plan, i intend to stay out of charity shops as much as possible next year as that's where temptation lies for me. If i had had to pay full price for my books my TBR pile would be less than half the size it is Thanks Bree, hope we both have a fabulous reading year
-
Thanks for the review on the Red Tent, Janet . Like Chrissy i've had it on my shelves for ages but i'm definitely going to dust it off for a new year read
-
Well that's it nice & simple I've decided to reintroduce a books bought list for this year as i did quite well in keeping my book buying habits to a minimum last year. This year i want to read more non fiction & also finish the Sharpe Series i started many moons ago but apart from that i don't have any other reading plans other than to enjoy the books i choose
-
What a gorgeous pile of books Poppy Much sympathy for your illness we were all laid low with a stomach bug followed by tonsilitis over the christmas & i think i've only managed to read 100 pages in 6 days so your not on your own there Your Spineless Classic sounds amazing hope you'll be able to post pics of it when it's in pride of place

Well totted up my final total for the year & it comes to 72 which i'm very pleased with.Although i didn't manage to stick to my resolution of not buying any new books this year i've definitely bought less & read more which i'm happy with so i'll probably reintroduce my books bought list next year & maybe even include my TBR pile if i can find the time to type it all out
-
Good Luck with your reading Michelle hope 2013 is a good one
-
Wow Devi , i felt worn out just reading through your lists. I see you have a few Sharpe's on there, i love Sharpe & hope to finish reading the series this year also want to read some Murakami as well. Good Luck with conquering your book mountain
-
Hope 2013 is a good year for you Brian I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you get through 2666 then i might be brave enough to make an attempt at it myself
-
Gosh Frankie i think i would feel totally overwhelmed if i had so many challenges to work through I've spotted lots of good books on your lists though & look forward to dropping by to read your reviews
-

-
Good luck with your reading in 2013 VF i have a few of the same books on my TBR pile so will look forward to reading your reviews
-
Not sure if it was ever adapted for TV but i think it would make a good children's serial. I liked the ending & for some reason felt quite teary when Charlotte found out what had happened to Clare
-
Great read, hope you enjoy it Frankie I liked the movie but didn't realise it was a book first I finished The Magician Somerset Maugham not one of my favourites of his but it wasn't bad. I've started The Tenderness Of Wolves Stef Penney for next months reading circle only read the first few chapters but so far so good.
