  1. Happy reading in 2014, Kay
  2. I'd be interested to know what the Kindle versions are like - they'd be much easier to deal with
  3. They're not on my TBR cos I haven't bought them yet
  4. Ooh, so I've only got another seven of the series to read till I get to that bit, then Do you think you'll go back and get the others now?
  5. I thought they were turning the third book into two films? I started watching Django Unchained last night. Got about 40 mins into it. Haven't decided whether I want to watch the rest of it or not.

  10. Yay, we agree on that one! Still haven't read any of 'Codex Alera' - doesn't look like it was up to much? I wound up in the same situation - I read Pandora's Star twice. You could probably find a decent recap somewhere

  15. Pretty much agree with you, Tim. It's a shame you chose to start with his 'Commonwealth Saga', though. I didn't mind Pandora's Star, but I thought Judas Unchained was bloody awful
  16. What, you mean like you did with Gardens of the Moon? Thanks Kay, I'm looking forward to it Add The First Man in Rome (Masters of Rome Book 1) by Colleen McCullough to my list of purchases - I've wanted this one for ages but the sheer size of the paperback put me off. The series has just been released on Kindle, though, and this one is currently only 99p!
  17. Pretty much, yeah - it was first published in 1958 and contains five stories, three of which were written in the '30s and '40s, one which was first published in the 1958 edition, and one that was added later in the '70s I finished The Witch in the Wood last night, and have started on The Ill-Made Knight today
