I think Lady Gaga has the potential to be the biggest and best popstar since early Madonna. Has she been on yet? I cant stand the Woss, the smug git that he is.

Two and a half men on Comedy central extra. Is one of the early series that I have never seen and it's on until 1am

Pain is probably the biggest concern for a a complete newcomer to tattoos. But from my personal experience, as well as seeing friends who have had tattoos for the first time, adrenaline seems to kick in and they come away saying 'is that it?' because they have wound themselves up so much they barely feel it:lol:. It's not that bad, it's not pleasant but its tolerable. When I went for my first and to date only tattoo the guy doing it insisted on showing me his collection of knives that he had tucked away in a draw that succeeded in distracting me from the pain a little.

Regarding knowing which parlour to go to. Try and speak to people who are local to your area who are more acquainted with the local tattooists on forums etc. (they dont have to be tattoo based forums), they will tell you without doubt who is worth going to and who to avoid. Or just browse some local forums that have already had related discussions. There is one specific tattooist in one shop who is literally universally recommended by everyone in the city I'm from. I am warming very much to the idea of having a tattoo that references 'the raven' on my wrist as a result of this thread.

I have an unexpected day off due to an unforseen 'incident' with my front door. So I am going to read a bit more of Shogun -
Judging purely from a 'singability' perspective I would have to say Ned's lyrics are spot on.

Was that tattoo on your wrist overly painful and did it bleed more than you would expect Noll? I hear its one of the more 'sensitive' places to be tattooed I quite fancy having a tattoo on the under side of my wrist

BBC 4 11pm one for the metalers amongst you Iron Maiden: Flight 666 Fly on the wall documentary following the band on their Somewhere back in time world tour, where they chartered a Boeing 747 and Bruce Dickinson the lead singer & professional pilot flew them and the whole tour crew around the world.

I came up with my own design once whilst in the tattoo shop, I sat down with the artist and described it to him and he just said 'hhmmm ok' with a look of horror on his face, I think he was as glad as I am now that I didn't have enough money on me at the time to do it there and then

It being 'cheery but in a sly way I think was his intention, it was poking fun at the then current trend at throwing prozac at people to cure their unhappiness. But people largely missed the point and thought he had just created a cheesy party song, which he hates.

That is what appeals to me about bookcrossing.com, I love the idea of someone finding a book I have left and then writing a short journal about how and where they found it

I've seen some great similar designs, I was actively looking for one like it. I think I chose this one because I had been umming and ahhing for hours in the shop and it was the cheapest one:lol: Looks like it was drawn by a first year art student

I had one done on my upper left arm on my 18th birthday, I had always wanted one and got one as soon as I could without my father being able to moan about it. It's an eye of a lizard/snake/dragon that is supposed to be looking through a wound on the skin. Every single person that has ever seen it has had to ask what it is in hindsight it is a pretty crappy design. I went through a phase where I wanted to get more in my early 20's but wasnt really willing to pay for anything worthwhile, they are so expensive! I'm 30 now and kind of grown out of it, although I am not against having more done if the opportunity presented itself.

Isnt that REM song supposed to be about people taking anti depressants? Even so it is still ****, I'm sure I read somewhere that Michael Stipe is even embaressed by it and he refused to have it on a greatest hits album. A song I hate - I think it's by Calvin Harris and called ready for the weekend. All I ever seem to hear is the damn chorus of that song and a woman screaming 'I got my shoes and i'm heading for the weekend' or some similar ****, over and over and over again. Whenever I hear it I cant help but think to myself 'yea if you ever bump into me you best hope your shoes dont have any heels I can jam into an orifice' It is literally like something that goes around and around in your head when your ill in bed with a high fever. Another nominee is any song at all ever by the Kings of Leon. Yea I liked them when they first came out, but now it seems that every kind of middle management, wine bar drinking, lexus driving person that openly uses phrases like 'jeekers' and 'let me just run this past you' is their biggest fan. I have to stop or this rant will need to have an index

I know what you mean. When I used to use facebook I had a grown man touching 40 on my list who is married with kids, and he had written about himself 'I read books and collect stamps' obviously meant to be sarcastic and as if either would be pretty pathetic. One of the many reasons I am not the biggest 'people person' on earth

I've got England vs Egypt on, but I cant see it for laughing

I have just got my head around how bookcrossing.com works. It's pretty much does what I said I would like to do the other day, by having some kind of journal about where the books are..i'm just about 10 years to late *I will be listing all my books on there over the next few days, and I think I will then offer any of them up to go into a worldwide bookring. I love this idea and I will donate the excess to a few charities around my area and my Library. Should be an interesting experiment.

Going slightly sideways on this topic, i'm not the most weddingy person in the world, but watch this video, it even puts me in a good mood. THIS is how you walk down the aisle. I have no idea what the song is but I love how it is used here:
