  1. I finished Mockingjay the third in the Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins this morning before work and can I just say I was in bits, there was some serious repair work needed with makeup to disguise the crying, but then I am always an emotional wreck and these books tapped into everything that brings out the emotional in me. I really recommend it

I applaud you for even trying. I tried one or two once, the low fat bran muffins and I was sure they were actually made of plywood.! And, for me, none of that works. I bought several low fat dinners once and ate them all. They were only so so and although it did not touch my weight( I eat so much fibre !) , I had the heart burn for like two days!. I LOVE your sweater!

  5. I read Poison Study and the 2 others in the trilogy (well I think there are only 3) and enjoyed them, they are good fantasy novels. I can't decide whether to go home and finish The Hunger Games or leave it in case I wake early again tommorow morning and finish it then, I might not be able to resist until then...oh decisions decisions
  6. I love your shelves I am so desperate for some at home I have piles and piles of books all teetering on the edge of falling over but my buying a new tyre for the car put pay to getting shelves this month so they will have to stay teetering for a while longer

  7. I can't listen to Baker Street without shuddering it used to be the gymnastics warm up when I belonged to a club we all had to stand on matts in the most horrible leotards stretching and doing handstands etc...suffice to say I was terrible and it was a long time ago.
  8. Hi Charm some great books there I ahve read quite a few of the Paranormal and the crime/thrillers and a couple of the others and loved most of them, I think if you mojo is awol go for a stand alone book Erica Spindler or the Tess Gerritssen you have on there, that might kick start you into reading or if a series is what you think you need then Kelley Armstrong....hope this helps, I keep wondering if I should do a list but I don't have a TBR pile as such more of a buy and try
  9. I am most of the way through the third installment of the Hunger Games and am loving it, don't know what I am going to do when I finish it and what I am going to read next.
  10. The Passage by Justin Cronin Stardust by Neil Gaiman American Gods by Neil Gaiman The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde (a re read) Nation by Terry Pratchett I have read all of these and they are all unfailingly good, I loved The Passage which I read just before Christmas......but its part of a trilogy and boo hoo hoo the second isn't out for ages, a great read though... Can I also add I finished the second Hunger Games book when I got in from work this evening and have immediately gotten the third one out in anticipation of starting it tonight...

  21. It took me a while to get into this one as well but it is good once ot gets going and you get a bit further in, I am not sure its as good as the Thursday Next and Nursery Crimes books bit I love the idea of it. I am most of the way through Andrea Camilleri - The Shape of the Water which although I have read before I am loving it, transporting me to a hot Sicily. I popped into waterstones today but I couldn't find anything I really wanted to buy, all the sales were a bit rubbish 3-2 on a load of books I own or already read and ones I wanted they didn't have the second one of, so a little frustrated with them, gonna go onto Amazon later and spend away money I don't have
  22. I have read nothing today but my friend did get me a couple of Andre Camilleri books for Christmas which is great as I am hoping for an Inspector Montalbano season on the BBc as well.
