    And usually much better quality. And good for local growers, and better for the environment, and local economy. Supermarket fruit and veg is awful. I can't believe how much we throw out. It's because its been deep chilled for so long that when it hits room temperature it ripens far too quickly. Bananas, peaches and plums are a nightmare.

    I have a gardening thread in members threads. I've only got a tiny yard, but I've over a 100 pots and rising. Veg, fruit, flowers, herbs, etc. I love it.

    I'm just watching the 100 Best Family Movies. Part of me loathes everything that the Disney Corporation stands for, but politics aside I can't deny they've made some incredible films. Top three Disney films?? Aladdin Beauty and the Beast Jungle Book

    I don't drink alcohol at all. If I'm out with friends I tend to drink fruit juice with fizzy water or lemonade. My mum makes the most amazing virgin cocktails she puts fresh herbs and twiggy things in it. Most annoying when the wine slurpers polish it off. I can't drink Red Bull or coke after 8pm or I don't sleep. I drink a lot of tea too.

    I'm glad you had a good-ish day. I found that the first year after my dad died, events that used to be celebrated were to be endured. I'd just try and power through it. It felt very strange, everyone knows that you're thinking about your dad, so they're being extra nice, not wanting to see you tear up at the very mention of him, but not wanting to ignore the fact that of course you miss them more today. You would have seen them today, they should be there, or at the very least there'd be a phone call and a card.

    Horrid, painful stuff Janet. You're much braver than you know.

    I'd say it gets better over time, but I don't think it does really. I just sort of encompassed it, and it hurt less.

    I couldn't choose a favourite author in this genre, let alone a favourite book.

    I only just switched over for the results and caught the 'highlights'. It's a bit glum, except for the groups that have drunk too much Sunny Delight. Someone on the radio said that they should have had SuBo to represent the UK. I think that's a good idea.
