I seem to get lost in books. I tune out everything around me. I read for pleasure and I love to be scared, but a little romance helps too

I still do everytime I read it I feel 14 again. Ive got the movie (but its not as good as the book)

Just wondering if anyone has read the Night World books by L. J. Smith. A freind just lent them to me and Im half way through the first one, cant put it down. The books are about a secret society of vampires, werewolves, witches and creatures of darkness. There are three volumes which have three series (nine series). Each series follows a different protagonist, who must face various challenges involving love, the "soulmate" principle and the Night World's strict code. The series in the first volume are: Secret Vampire- Poppy is dying, and it seems that James can offer her her only chance for survival.... but is the price too high? Daughters of Darkness- Mary-Lynette has just met three mysterious sisters - on the run from their cruel brother. But can she protect them or herself with another threat lurking nearby? Enchantress- Blaise is irresistible.... and deadly, but the Night World has rules, and Blaise is breaking them all. I am finding it a very intersting way to read a story, told through a number of books

Noise is ok, I tune out when Im reading, it really gets to my husband. He will ask me something and most of the time I wont even haer him Its dosent bother me what time of the day or where I read. If I on a long trip like to my in-laws place I will take a book to read in the car. I do really like reading in bed Im not a big tea or coffee drinker so I dont have any while I read, i do like to have something to snack on.

Im converted I really wasnt into reading growing up. When I was around 14 my mum gave me a book that she had read when she was young, it was Black Beauty. It got me hooked and now I always have my head in a book I still have that copy of Black Beauty and I still re-read it.

For th first time I only have one. Its called Little big life.

For me its Gone with the wind. Just love this book have read it so many times. I think by now I know the whole thing by heart

I dont really worry about the authors that much, If I like what I read on the back of the book then most of the time I will read it. There are a few authors that I enjoy. So when I see new books by them, I will read it for sure.

For me they are: Gone with the wind by Margaret Mitchell Black Beauty by Anna Sewell Little Women by Louisa May Alcott

I really enjoyed the Michael J Fox story, Ive read it twice. I am also looking forward to reading Patrice Swayze's book.

As Im a big fan of tigers, I have a tiger bookmark which I have had for years

Books that I have really enjoyed I tend to keep. Some I give to friends to read or I give some away to my line dancing club which sells them and the money made goes to cancer charities. I do still have books that I read as a child, which some day I would like to pass onto my children.

My favourite book as a kid was "Wind and the willows". So it gets my vote.

I really enjoyed the Casteel series by Virginia Andrews.

Big hello to all from down under. Its funny, when I was growing up I hated reading. Now Ive always got my head in a book I love all books. I do enjoy horrors but I also like Daniell Steel books, true stories. My all time favourite books are Black Beauty and Gone with the wind. At the moment Im reading Mao's Last Dancer. I wanted to join a book forum beacuse Im also on the hunt for really enjoyable books to read, so if you have just finished a real good book be sure to let me know I look forward to chatting with you all.
