    it means someone who is not afraid to stand up for herself but also quite kind..someone really nice but totally annoying as my 16 year old defines it. It is a Scottish expression.

    Hi Lisa, Like yourself i'm new to forums a recent book i've read is "The Reluctant Fundamentalist" by Mohsin Hamid. An interesting and well written book. It was nominated for The Man Booker Prize 2007.

    Hi Everyone, I'm new to Forums and did not see myself ever joining one. So far I like this site. I have four children (young people now) and two grandchildren. I sound old but I started young.
