I read Dissolution a couple of months back and really enjoyed it. It is a murder mystery but does give you a sense of the time in which it is set. The main character is really likeable and before the end of the book you care for him and want to see him succeed. I picked up Revelation a few days ago and it is now sitting in my TBR pile.

I am really enjoying it, though I am only 109 pages in so far. It is not what I expected - in a good way!

I am a real crier when it comes to books (less so movies, weirdly). The one that stands out lately is Marley and Me. I think I started sobbing halfway through and didn't stop reading or crying till I got to the end of the book. I remember crying at Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. And I cried at the Bone Garden by Tess Gerritson (I loved this book!). To be honest though, if I care about the characters, I will have a cry if the emotion is high, especially if there are tragic circumstances.

I am an opportunitsic shopper and buy books when I pass a book shop with a deal or when I pass a charity shop I will pop in and pick something up. If there is a title I really want, I will usually order online. I should go to the library more but if I love a book I want to keep it. When I used to use the library, I would often then go and buy the book to add to the book shelf Mad isn't it?

Instead of using ham and mushrooms you could use a pate instead. It woul dbe best to wrap it in something like a very pancake to keep it from making the pastry soggy, though.

Yes there is an order to some of his books. The John Corey series starts with Plum Island, the Lion's Game, Night Fall and his last one in this series is Wild Fire (I haven't seen this in the UK yet). The Paul Brenner series starts with The General's Daughter and next is Up Country. Other than that, they are all fine to read in whatever order you like. Charm School is great but my favourite DeMille book has to Plum Island, though I love all the John Corey series. In fact I love his books full stop but oe or two of the early ones are not as good, they just don't keep you.

Oh I am not sure......I love Helena and Petronius. His father is so funny as is hers. I think my fav is Falco though. He is so funny and lovable! What about you?

It has been so long since I read Silver Pigs but i remember thinking it was very good but a bit darker than the rest of the series. And Scandle was another on my favourite list. I think the ones where he is travelling are always a but more fun to read.

It is the one with the stew And no worries for not remembering if you have read the whole series in the last three years. I have to admit that I don't remember them all but that one I loved especially. My favourite for the whole story would have to Last Act in Palmyra where Falco and Helena wind up travelling with an acting troupe. I started the series about 12 years ago and faithfully bought the newest paperback whenever it came out. I have missed the last couple and will now have to order those and add the to my tbr pile (which seems to be growing rather large at the moment!).
