  1. Rosalie was a conceited selfish person. I hated her, of course. Esme was...okay, she was always in the background. Carlisle in the movie was soooooo gorgeous, though. Pretty much the only guy who was reasonable looking in the whole film, IMO. And yeah, Jasper and Alice definitely have a good history. I love Jasper's "story" very much, partly why I really liked him in the first place.
  2. That was it, just two Terry Pratchett books? That's just BRILLIANT. Wonder which books they were.
  3. LOL, i remember I imagined him to fart right after he says "Let us take the plunge!" and then he just dives like an agile swimmer or something like that.
  4. Fair enough. Yeah, I was too scared that I won't like it so I just borrowed it from our library. Thank god I didn't buy it then..
  5. LMFAO yes, I couldn't stop laughing at that one as well. And in the fifth or sixth one where Harry was making a racket in Dumbly's office, and the old man was just calm and collected. That cracked me up as well
  6. It was only the ending, really! You have to read it! I wanna know what you think about it!
  7. I know, I LOVE Paul Bettany he's a GREAAATT actor. He was so perfect in the movie though. And that part where he performs without his top on.. *thud* Yeah, the third book was definitely disappointing for me. It might be different for you, who knows, but it definitely wasn't what I expected.
  8. OHh yes the Dr Seuss books, i loved them. And I just remembered right now, I used to LOVE the Secret Garden by....I forgot. I read it like, 5 times when I was about 7-8 years old. And we also had stuff like The Saddle Club or like, Babysitters Club or osmething like that. and this other series called Twin Sisters. They were so awesome back then
  9. Yeah, I think they got pretty much everything perfect all through the movie. Dustfinger was almost exactly how I imagined him (only in the movie he was much hotter... ). When are you gonna read the third book?
  10. Yeah, I tried to make my friend read Lord of the Rings. She tried twice, i think. and she only got up to the start of the second book.
  11. I know. I just HATED HATED HATED the ending of the movie. HATED. They just had to end it as a "happily ever after" kinda thing. So they're probably not gonna make a sequel...and I didn't like the way they brought up Farrid liking Meggie. Dustfinger just randomly said it. And I also didn't like Farrid's reaction to Dustfinger's departure. He was OKAY about it. He wasn't OKAY about it in the book, and he would never be OKAY about it, EVER!
  12. So was I! hence the username In the movie, Esme had no lines whatsoever. Apart from like, one.
  13. LOL, my parents buy chocolates for OTHER people. Whenever my mum comes back from the shops, she has chocolate stuff with her, and I'm like, ooh chocolate for easter! And she's like, they're not for you. :( *shakes fist at her* well anyways, enjoying your week so far?

  14. ^Does he?! I never knew that! That's very interesting indeed... I'm reading Going Postal right now, and I have to say, its hard getting through the last 50 pages. His writing was beginning to bore me, for some reason. He just rambles on a lot about stuff, I don't know. Hopefully I'll get to finish it soon...
  15. Yeah, it's going fine here. I haven't had any chocolate eggs yet though :( Or baskets, whatever you call em. I'm just gonna suck it up and buy my own tomorrow. :) What about you, gotten any chocolate, or anything for easter? :D

  16. I agree with you on the special effects. I've seen parodies that were better.
  17. Oh okay, I haven't seen the deleted scenes, and don't plan to, not really. Maybe I'll watch the movie again, see if I like it the second time, other people apparently liked it the second time too. My friend didn't though, she said it was more hilarious the second time.
  18. with the Simarillion, It's funny because when you expect it to make you sleep, suddenly an interesting part comes along like, I don't know, something about Elrond, and then you actually start to tune in.
  19. Yeah, the baseball scene was good. compared to the other scenes. God, don't even get me started with the meadow scene. *runs around* as if you can outrun me *runs around* as if you can outfight me *pulls a branch out*.... I'm not afraid of you... *starts sparkling* The Cullens were a big part of the books, we learned ALL about stephenie meyer's version of vampires through them in the books but.. In the movies. We didn't learn anything. Just that they were icy cold and apparantly impossibly fast We didn't hear Carlisle's story about the Volturi and how he came to be a vampire either, I think that's important for the second book.
  20. I think the Baseball Scene was pretty bad. The effects were just plain ridiculous. I mean, that part where Emmett and Edward like, collide into each other was just...I laughed alot actually.
  21. No, I think I wouldn't have liked it either. Like I said, it was just the things that weren't there that bugged me. It was everything else. The script could've been better I think. And it was too much Edward and Bella and Edward and Bella and Edward and Bella that there wasn't time for everyone else. They didn't even show that Bella and Alice were friends at all, or that Bella didn't like Rosalie very much. They didn't build any of the other relationships much.
  22. Yeah, she's okay, appearance-wise. That's all you're gonna get from me. And with the movie, now, whenever I hear Twilight, i think of the terrible things they did to the film, not of the books I fell in love with. The film just ruined it all for me. I think they got pretty much everything wrong, the casting, the acting, the script, the setting. Not just what's supposed to be in it, and what's not. Its the whole production of it all that I just don't like.
  23. ^Oh. Right. I knew that. I thought it woulda been created a few days ago since its four pages in. Wow.
  24. Oh, i got through the first page. I got through the whole book. Never again.
  25. ^ That made me laugh. Yeah, the Silmarillion was reaaaallllyyyy hard to get through. Reaaalllyyyyyy hard. Seriously. WHY Does he need to go through every. single. detail?! I don't get it! I'm definitely giving my copy away.
