  1. I've never read any Nanny Ogg OR Tiffany Aching books..OR death books either. I've only read Rincewind's ones and one of Moist's. I have a feeling I'll like Death though, he seems like an awfully hilarious chap.
  2. Lol, I know Hardly any teenagers read nowadays though. Whenever I mention any book whatsoever to any of my classmates, they just go "reading's gay"
  3. I've read Brisingr, on your mount, and it was tolerable for me. I liked the ending though, but the rest just dragged, I think it needed more editing too. Maybe you'll like it, we all have different tastes, no?
  4. Yeah, I told her that too. And she's one of those apparent "hardcore" fans, but when I told her to read them she was like, I don't read books.
  5. Yeah, exactly! I don't get it either. I asked my friend who hasn't read the books but loved the movie why she liked it so much and she just said because the actors were hot. How shallow.
  6. Wow. That musta been a great feat. I've only read a couple of books meself, the whole series is in my list though. Wish me luck!
  7. I read both All American Girl books and I liked them. She's one of my comfort authors as well. When I haven't got any books to read, I read her. Princess Diaries is on my TBR list
  8. Lol, is that the Monster book of Monsters?
  9. I probably wouldn't buy it, I won't waste my money, who knows maybe it'll be bad. I'll just borrow it from the library or something. Hopefully it's gonna be good!
  10. Now that I think about it, Secrets of the Darkest Art would actually be interesting! We'd know all about the spells and how they work, stuff like that. And maybe some things about Horcruxes as well?
  11. Has anyone actually read the WHOLE series? all of it?
  12. Allo there guys! Thanks for the warm, warm welcomes
  13. Welcome to the forum, anubhuti! You'll like it here
  14. I cannot remember A Bend in the Road! I just.. I can't! What was the ending?
  15. of COURSE you've forgotten. baha, it's about this 16 year old dude that just woke up in a jungle naked ( :o ) and this family adopts him. The 16 year old doesn't really know what happened to him, he doesn't remember anything so the family and him are trying to figure it out. It's pretty interesting ;) It's sci-fi and family and it has like, that sort of teenage highschool thing.

  16. I checked out Matthew Good Band, watched their video Strange Days, and they're pretty good! They're like that sort of acousticy rock thingos I like to listen to! Thanks for the recommendation :D

  17. Oh, I never knew she took a break! Interesting...
  18. Prologues are important of course. They make me wanna read the book. It's stupid how one doesn't read them just because it's called a prologue. That's just weird.
  19. I'm not exactly sure... Was that the one with the car crash? Hang on, let me check it out. Yes, I have read it. Only once though and it was 3 years ago, I cannot remember for the life of me anything about it. I just remember a car crash- hence the title. That's about it though. I think pretty much all his books are predictable I like them though, but still. they always end up in heartache and pain.
  20. ^ at Least you tried.
  21. Bahaha oh dear. Scarred forever, huh. So you haven't actually read the whole book yet? The only things I liked from the first two books was that feeling where he's like, WOW. MAGIC! wow! owls! Wow! Wands! Wo- yeah, you know what I'm talking bout.
  22. Nope, I'm still upto Heroes. After Heroes I'm planning on catching up to Kyle XY. The cliffhanger is just killing me, man, killing me!

  23. Oh. I'll try and watch the film again, some people thought it was better the second time 'round, but I haven't bothered really.
  24. I've read most of Nicholas Sparks' books, I find them enlightening. I always somehow end up crying in everyone of his books. I'm a softie like that! The Rescue was definitely a good read (the third recommendation!) although it wasn't as good as At First Sight or A Walk To Remember. It was still great though. I half agree with you about A Walk to Remember with the movie being better than the book. It certainly had its moments but I think the ending and the start of the book was better. The Notebook (the book) was definitely not what I expected it to be. I watched the movie first and then read the book and it was disappointing (wow, its the other way round!) What about you, what'd you think of it?
  25. Hopefully. I mean, Rob and Kirsten look like they're good friends OFFset, with promos for Twilight, it looks like they really ARE Bella and Edward. But in the movie, it looked like they were trying to hard, it seemed like their acting was forced. Well yeah, hopefully they'll grow comfortable in their roles for the future movies.
