  1. My favorite at ice cream parlors is cake batter ice cream with crumbled graham crackers and raspberries. My favorite store bought ice cream is Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie.
  2. I'm a loser baby, so why don't you kill me? Loser - Beck In my 7th grade girls choir we could bring in a mix tape with bits from songs that had our favorite lyrics. I included Loser by Beck and some of the popular girls were upset. I wish I could go back in time to relive that moment. I'll have to come back to this thread after I've given it some serious thought.
  3. I saved right before the ending so that I could try out each alternate ending. They are a bit crazy. hehe

  4. The Great Gatsby - F. Scott Fitzgerald
  5. Ack! I didn't realize that I had a message until just now. Sorry that it took so long for me to get back to you.

I'm glad you like the game. ^_^ As I mentioned in the post, it's one of my favorites. I played it twice. The first time I was uber nice and the second time I was a jerk to everyone. Usually the responses don't change things all that much but it was still fun. At one point you get the option of slapping your son so as the mean character I slapped him, then I slapped him again, and again... I was rolling with laughter. (Of course if it were real life it wouldn't be funny.)

I'm settling in just fine. :) It's a great forum full of really nice people. I definitely have more motivation to read and my TBR list is getting very long. It has been a wonderful experience.

  6. ...Oprah's Book Club. The Chihuahua quickly scurried out of sight...
  7. What is your favorite band or singer that most people don't know about? Mine is Revis. One of their songs, Caught In The Rain, was played on the radio a few years ago and I was hooked. I haven't heard any of their music on the radio since. I've never met anyone else that knows who they are. Wikipedia says they disbanded in 2005 and a few members moved onto other bands: Aujalyn and The Yelling.
  8. I'm the same way. I have a lot of family members that love to read so if I'm looking for something new I ask them first. I trust their taste in books. If I walk into a bookstore without any recommendations then you can bet I'll gravitate to the books with appealing covers. That's how I found Sabriel by Garth Nix. I do read what they're about before making the final decision though.
  9. I so want to read Interview with the Vampire! I used to hate it because my sister's creep-of-a-boyfriend was so obsessed with it and other supernatural things. (He claimed to be a real werewolf. Keep in mind that this was about fourteen years ago.) Then a few years back the movie was on TV so I gave it a chance and ended up loving it. Every so often, like right now, I remember that I want to read the book but the timing never seems to be right.
  10. The show is pretty good too.

  18. Every now and then I take out my crayons and color.
  19. Gadgets. It was all because he loved gadgets. The Dream Merchant - Isabel Hoving
  20. Roxi, I'm doing the opposite by using this thread to make a list of books I never want to read. I haven't added every single book to my list because some of them sound disturbing but still worth reading.
  21. ...with sleeping off his chicken noodle soup stupor. The now syrup covered chihuahua...
  22. Yeah, Library Thing's 200 book limit it also the reason I went with Goodreads. It's really interesting to see what books I have in common with people. Even if most of mine are on the "to-read" shelf. I noticed that I wasn't the only one to give "A Series of Unfortunate Events" three stars. It was a surprise considering how much hype those books got. I didn't think about it either. I only found it because of Paperplane. Edit: Echo and Karen, thanks for letting me know.
  23. Oh yeah, Nana by Ai Yazawa has a lot of fans. They made it into a live action film in Japan. Have you read Paradise Kiss by the same author?
