  1. I've been reading a lot of McFly (Slash) Fan Fiction recently and some of the stuff is just amazing. I think I love it so much cause it's just so easy to imagine it happen. Sadly there is a lot of rubbish out there, but if you've found some good writers it is a really nice thing to enjoy. Some of them are also absolutely hilarious and make me laugh so much it's ridiculous
  2. But it doesn't look like laptops and all that sort of stuff. It looks very similar to paper and hasn't got any background lightning etc. That's what I was wondering about at first as I also thought of rather buying a new phone that could do the same, but they are actually completely different. @BookJumper I know, how can someone possibly resist something pink?!?! But as you said, it is a ridiculous price (mind that you can get it 20 pounds cheaper on the Waterstones and WHSmith website though) and I wouldn't have bought it if my parents wouldn't have paid half of it as a birthday present. And as I said above, I really just got it so I can read all those Fan Fictions I got into recently and to make it easier to read my friends stories. I think it's also quite good for "business" people as you can read PDFs and stuff on it. Oh, and I think writers might like the touch edition as well as you're able to write on it etc. But whoever likes the idea of replacing books with a thing like that must be mad, there's nothing like feeling a good book in your hand!
  3. Just ordered a Sony Pocket one (in pink ). That thing is definitely not going to replace books, I could never go and buy ebooks rather than a proper copy, but I want to use it for some classics from Project Gutenberg and Fan Fictions or stories that my friends wrote. It's easier than reading them on my laptop or printing them out. Checked the prices of ebooks out of interest though. I might have been tempted to buy 1 or 2 if they'd been really cheap but they're nearly as "expensive" as proper books so there's no way that I'll buy an ebook.
  4. Film itself. Read the novel, thought it was good but didn't remember that much really. The film just lacks depths, that's the problem. It's like "Let's have a sex scene...and another one...and another one....aaaaand another one....ohh, we need some Sybil time as well...why not put it into a sex scene?" They could have at least done a proper sex scenes, those ones were just booooring Ah well, I just make fun of it now. That's what I wrote on Twitter the other day:
  5. Also played John Whittaker in Easy Virtue which also stars Colin Firth, Jessica Biel and Kristin Scott Thomas Oh, and he played a Russian in Bigga than Ben, but no one knows that one really Some of the cuts were very unprofessional as well, I could have done that better! Just watch this scene and you know what I mean: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSTp1SC1CsY Me and my friend giggled quit a lot yesterday, especially when Oh, and if anyone thinks that the sex scenes were weird already then have a look at what they've cut out to actually achieve a "15" rather than a "18": http://www.bbfc.co.uk/website/Classified.nsf/0/1ac57fbddb2422c18025760b005fcfc3?OpenDocument&ExpandSection=3#_Section3 That director must have either a huge fantasy or a very disgusting sex life Good thing is, even if you hate the film you can still spend your time drooling over gorgeous Ben Barnes. That's what I did anyway
  6. Course he was, he was played by Ben Barnes, the most gorgeous man on earth I saw the film at a media screening a few weeks ago and wasn't happy with it. Some things just didn't make any sense as they focused far too much on the fact that he's having fun with loads and loads of women. The thing with the portrait was rather ridiculous as well with it . Some people laughed at it when they showed the portrait again at the end, don't think it was meant to be laughed at. ... But I'm going to watch it again tomorrow and will see if I might enjoy it more this time. Last time I was far too excited as my friend just called me 5 hours earlier telling me she had a ticket to the media screening for me. Being a Ben fan that meant quite a lot to me
  7. Little Women yesterday. Why can't I have a neighbour like Laurie?
  8. I just found the German version of it in the library yesterday Just reached the part . It's quite nice but I think in the end I will like the film more...
  9. Shame that you couldn't see it, it's just amazing! Think I'm gonna go and see Time Traveller's Wife today
  10. Haha, das glaub ich dir gerne :)

  12. That I failed my Literature course which I did with the Open University. I know it was heading that way and I didn't do anything about it. So literally, what bugs me is myself
  13. Ohh, jemand aus Deutschland! Hallooooo!!! :D

  14. I'm an English nurse who just travelled back 200 years in time and got "captured" by a Scottish clan with a young, handsome redhead called Jamie
  15. I bought Cross Stitch last week and I soooo love it! First time I read it in English. The Scottish accent is just...just...
  16. I've got that one as well And a Benjamin Bunny one. Also got quite a lot Winnie the Pooh ones and two Little Miss ones. Little Miss Naughty and Little Miss Giggles in fact
  17. I sooo cried my eyes out when I saw the film, unbelievable. I hardly ever cry watching films but this one... Maybe it's cause I've had cancer myself when I was 4. Can't remember much but I always find that cancer stories upset me very much. Some sort of attachment I guess. Anyway, I wasn't happy that they changed the ending, it was one of the things that made you think about the story all over again. But yeah, the book was amazing and I'm still trying to get my mum to read it. Somehow she doesn't want to. Can't imagine why
  18. I first read it about 3 years ago. It's silly, it's stupid, it's trash, but I can't help loving it. Think I've never read a book that made me go "Awwww" and "this is so stupid" at the same time. There's no way to avoid loving it!
  19. Dorian Gray next month with gorgeous Ben Barnes. Raaaawwrrr
  20. I've been reading it for a while now. It is somehow a very good story but on the other hand I find it written a bit...weirdly...I don't know. It's just not one of these books that I WANT to finish, it doesn't bother me. I pick it up from time to time and read a view pages and then put it aside for a couple of weeks. Just find it very confusing and I don't even know why. Well, the use of German words is confusing me quiet a lot actually as German is my mother language and mixing the 2 languages that I speak together just really confuses me. Maybe that's why I've got trouble reading it, I don't know. Maybe I'm just a complete Idiot
  21. Ben actually is a very good actor and a very intelligent man as well so I guess he'll do great but I'm getting a bit worried about the film itself. I read some reviews of a screening the other day and these people weren't really happy. Ben said they're now going to change some things, apparently they had a scene that contained violence AND sex which seemed to have been a bit too much. I'm afraid it might turn into some sort of slasher film
