Yes - I've seen my own Guardian Angel (a beautiful sight) and some time before that, a Home Angel. When I realised just what my eyes were beholding ... I fainted!! Well, let's fact it, it's hardly an everyday occurence! Sending you Angel blessings, and my own best wishes, Geneveive.

  11. Taken from "Spiritual Unfoldment II" by White Eagle Fairyland It seems strange to some, to whom even the idea of the existence of the human soul beyond death is new and barely acceptable, to be told of a vast company of non-human beings whose life interpenetrates this Earth life, and who are helping onward the great plan of spiritual evolution. This unseen life is behind all physical manifestation, from the very lowest degree of life, upward through the spheres to the very highest. Not only is this unseen life affecting every living form but it is also linked to life on other planets. There is no such thing in all creation as splendid isolation; there is in reality, no separation between the various forms of life, for we are all interdependent and all blend in one harmonious whole. Even what appears to be error, what appears to you to be evil or destructive serves a purpose in the great plan and has behind it the power, wisdom and love of God which is working through the Universe to bring good out of apparent evil; which is guiding and unifying all forms of life. This will perhaps help you to understand the importance of your thinking. You little realise what you create by impure or violent thought, or by thoughts of fear and despair. Sometimes people say that they have undesirable spirits near them; and it is difficult for us to explain that these undesirable spirits are nothing but creations of their own thoughts. www.whiteagle.org
  12. Bonjour Geneveive - the Angels are holding me "in the pink!"

Sorry for the delay in replying it's been a little while since I've been here, but as usual, it's lovely to hear from you.

If you have any favourite Angel books or information, Geneveive, I'd love to hear from you on "Getting into the Spirit of things" the thread I started for just such angelic/spiritual chats. I've invited anyone to post their own comments there, and put my own favourite quotes and books there too for the info of anyone interested in knowing Spirit better.

Spreading the word of the Angels and other spiritual friends is a very enjoyable task - the more of us who do so, the better!

With Angel Blessings for your weekend my friend - Enjoy yourself.

  13. How great for you to have met Neale, Talisman! I can understand why he's a modest kind of person - as the channel he's been chosen to be, a big ego would block the wisdom's he's brought to us for years, now! There's a big difference between ego and self-worth, but human beings are so rarely comfortable with the distinctions. Book 1 of the series, and Communion with God, are my two favourites. I especially love the parting words on the last pages of Book 1. "Do not feel abandoned, I Am always with you ..." & etc., It's beauty made me cry the first time I read it, and still affects me deeply. Do you have any specially-favourite parts yourself?
  14. Has anyone ever the "Conversations with God" (Neale Donald Walsch)series? I just love how these books speak the talk so simply - it's quite breathtaking!
  15. Hi all - This may sound dreadfully disloyal, but - isn't it nice when we can find a bit of romance sometimes ... away from the pages of a book?
  16. Friendy greetings to Twisted Vamp - it's no surprise you like "Northanger",Twisty - Jane Austen's kinda "gothic" novel - did your avatar like it too?! Seriously though - "Northanger" is a very good read especially for a younger person. It's themes of shallow "friends" (the Thorpes) and rash judgements (Catherine's of the Abbey and General) are useful messages for us all. There are all kinds of villains in the world. The General wasn't the monster Cathy imagined him, but he was actually quite villianous when he ejected her from the Abbey in the middle of the night, and left her to get home on her own. In those days - that sort of treatment towards a sheltered young woman, especially by a man of rank, was pretty shocking. What's next for you, Twisty? P & P? With it's wicked Wickham, and the rest of Elizabeth and Jane's socially embarrassing family?
  17. EASTER At Easter-time when the great Sun pours forth it's rays upon the northern hemisphere, all life begins to stir. Most of the early Spring flowers in the northern hemisphere take upon themselves the colour of the Sun. Does not this Sun-colour stimulate your intellect and warm your heart? Your heart leaps when you see the little golden flowers raising their heads from the dark earth and turning their faces to the Sun; for then all Nature is stirring and rising to glorify the Creator. All will admit that there is a natural law behind this awakening life and growth. But there is something more; there is a divine intelligence; and more even than this, there is a great warm heart. Have you ever thought of the warmth of the Heart of God, the Heart of your Creator? Come with us then; rise in consciousness above physical matter, into the realms of the Sun, or of the Spirit... Feel the warmth and glory and life-giving power of the Sun ... and then know that something of this Sun, or Spirit, is also in your heart. For within the human heart is a tiny replica of the Sun, of the Heart of God, the Creator... taken from "White Eagle on Festivals and Celebrations"
  18. I didn't realise there was another love-affair going on while S & S was being filmed, Geneveive! It might have been very difficult all around if the actresses and actor concerned weren't such professionals! How fantastic - to have a first edition of P & P! Think of the stories that little book could tell, of all the people who have enjoyed hours of pleasure from it. Books can be so personal, can't they? E-books (electronic books) may be useful, but they just don't make the same connection with the reader. Speaking of the size of a book - I have all the Austen novels published by "Collector's Library" which produce classic novels like Austen, Dickens, etc., in the original novel-size available at the time of the writing. They're beautiful, and a gift for life, and feel snug and comfortabe to hold. Are your "ears on" out there, Chrysalis? Have you got S & S started yet?
  19. Hello Nici - great to hear from a fellow Angel-lover. Have you read Diana Cooper's "Angel Answers"?. It's a wonderful, loving, informative book - a true message direct from the Angels to us. Diana does us all such a fantastic service in channeling the Angels. I admire her, and her work, greatly.

Have a great Easter weekend, Nici - I'm sending Easter Angels to you, to make sure!

  20. Have a Happy weekend, Genevieve. I'm sending golden Easter Angels to hold you in peace.

  21. Well put, Genevieve - reading Jane Austen (or any classic novel) is indeed like learning a foreign language, for people not only behaved, but spoke, much differently a hundred years plus, ago! For me - that's part of the beauty of it - enjoying the differences in speech and form, from a time when expresson was more beautiful (at least among the middle and upper classes) than nowadays. Grammer was certainly better, and I'm not discounting myself there, either!:eek2: Stick with it, Chrysalis - don't try to read the book as quickly as you'd expect to read a modern novel, where you are familiar with the mode of speech used, and understand the meaning without trying. Ask your friend if you can keep S & S a bit longer, or order it in the Library, or pop into a Charity shop locally - there are usually quite a few classic novels in great condition about, for a few pennies. It's well-worth taking a little extra time and "listening" to what the characters say. One of J.A's great gifts was helping us to know each character through the conversations they held. Communication - spoken and written - was much more exact and personal in those days. So relax and don't rush - you'll get into the swing of it in no-time. Has anyone else ever noticed that the "feel" of a book is important? The actual feel of the book itself? I have all the Austen novels in a matched set, and each one "feels" just right to me. Comfortable to hold, just the right weight, immediately familiar to my hands ... just right. It makes such a difference to the enjoyment of the book. Even though I read S & s just a few weeks ago - I've started it again in the last few days. I came across another version of the book which drew me right away - it felt so comfortable in my hands, and the story seems fresh again in it's new format - what else could I do but get
  22. Hello Genevieve

Yes, I love my avatar picture too - she's the Angel of Blessings. I'm heavily into Angels, and have many figures, books, posters etc., around me. I chose her so she can send blessings to all who see her, on the forum. Enjoy all your blessings, Genevieve.

  23. "The Wonder of Unicorns" by Diana Cooper Who the Unicorns Help When a person is motivated to serve the community and make it better place, their Light shines brightly. And there have always been those who will stand up for what they know is right - for freedom and equality. Such people are touched by Unicorn energy which gives them the strength to do what needs to be done. It does matter that they be religious, or even that they lead pure lives. But they must have a vision beyond themselves. Bob Geldorf Bob Geldorf has drawn the attention of the whole planet to the fact that half the world is starving. The Unicorn energy inspired the Feed the World song, and concerts. And ever since then, he has worked ceaselessly to keep peoples' focus on what is happening. He has a seed understanding of Oneness in his consciousness. Jamie Oliver This is another public figure who has been ridiculed and put down by sectors of the public who have tried to deride his passion for wholesome food for our children. And Unicorn energy has helped to sustain his courage and his vision. The spiritual worlds understand the importance of correct nourishment for our youngsters, (why don't we?!) especially the very sensitive and enlightened one, who are to light the way for humanity in the future. Jo Frost (Supernanny) Because society has broken down and parents no longer respect themselves, the children reflect this back to them with bad behaviour. Jo Frost has started to demonstrate to parents what is needed. She has taken a lot of flak and the Unicorns have come in to help her. Unicorns help such people to ride the waves of disappointment, and gallop through the sticks and stones of criticism. Other chapters - Unicorn Orbs The Power of Nature Unicorns and the Bible How to do a Unicorn Healing Planetary Service to state a few!
  24. Bonjour Genevieve -

Thank you for your good wishes.

Do you read any fiction books on the Celtic peoples? If so, you may be interested in Juliet Marillier's "Sevenwaters" series - it's my own favourite, and I always have my copies at hand. It starts with "Daughter of the Forest" and so far there are 4 in the series, which is set largely in Ireland, just as the Christian faith was taking hold there.

I've just recently found Jules Watson too. Her series (starting with The White Mare) is set ancient Scotland, and.... I'm hooked!

You may find some of the Barbara Erskine novels interesting, too - many are based or involving ancient Wales.

Mansfield Park is one of my favourite Austen novels, I also like Persuasion.

Will go for now, or I'll have to shorten this message!

Angel Blessings to you, Geneveive - Booknutt.

  25. Hi Genevieve

I hope you're enjoying the site, and getting well-settled, now. It can take a bit of time to do so, but very worth the effort!

Isn't it great to talk books, books, books as much as we want? The only frustrating thing is - there's so many!

"See" you around the threads - Booknutt
