  1. I really love The Sixth Sense, that plot is fantastically executed. Willis and Haley Joel Osment are brilliant at conveying real feeling to their roles. That cupboard scene... no thanks! The Village is an interesting film, it becomes a little silly but it's a good film. I don't like Signs much, I find it boring but Joaquin Phoenix is hilarious in it
  2. I finished Cabal: The Nightbreed by Clive Barker last night. Here are a few random points that have been floating around in my head about the book. It was an entertaining read for sure, he has a very magnetic quality to his prose which drags you along with each page, it's a very talented way of writing. He can throw an unexpected sentence in which really strikes a chord inside you, even though it may not apparently fit with what is going on in the story at that moment. I appreciate that in a writer, I think it is an important quality to have which can separate a great writer from a good writer. The characters, firstly, there is really nothing special here, they simply serve the story with a little bit of somewhat interesting backstory, but I didn't feel for them much. This, especially in a book which tries to get you emotionally unbalanced, meant that a lot of things were quite ineffective with respect to the point of the story, to give you a ride of horror. Of course I was rooting for them and the 'bad guy' was a little anger-invoking as you would expect, but add a few clich
  3. I finished the last 140 pages of Cabal by Clive Barker last night. It was a pretty good read
  4. I am probably going to read all of the mentioned titles as I am pretty sure they'll be on some of my course units when I start my degree again. I am going to hunt down them one by one and when I have read Udolpho i'll come here and talk about it.
  5. Depending on whether or not I go out tonight, I will either have crispy chicken and chips if not, a chippy if I do!

That Steve Bruce one, it looks like it was infront of the Man U fans and they were all laughing at him too
  7. I saw a show my housemates were watching downstairs and it literally was car crash tv, they put dummies in and inspected the damage. That's when I realised I've never missed television

I think the Berbatov situation is very similar to Veron, brilliant players but not in the right system. Forlan is unfortunately a great striker, just not for us apparently, Taibi is terrible, the less said about him, the better.

I think Berbatov and Owen have played well together, Ferguson says the problem is that Owen and Rooney play in the same area, which I don't see. Maybe he's using Owen sporadically this year and next year when he's fully settled and got his fitness back, looking for him to prove his place on the pitch, otherwise I have no idea what his problem with starting him is, what more can the guy do?? I don't know about Anderson. He can look brilliant and is full of energy but what he does with it is almost as frustrating as Nani messing about with the ball and getting nowhere. We paid a ridiculous amount for him, Nani, Hargreaves and Berbatov, people laugh at Benitez, but unless this lot proves something by the end of next season, Ferguson won't be applauded for these four players. Nani has got his act together a little and looks almost

It would be funny They could make the excuse of Tevez going awol, but if you look at how many first team players we've had out, it's crazy, we dealt with that crisis well, whereas they didn't. Now if Rooney got injured it might be a different story, I'm still not confident at all in getting the wins without him, Owen doesn't get even close to enough game time, Berbatov doesn't impose himself and Diouf is still a bit of an unknown quality. I don't see the harm in letting Owen and Diouf get more pitch time.

I think it will be a tight game, Villa are a great side and we have very little rhythm this season and still struggling with injuries. I think we will win it, but it will be a close game and possibly extra time, I think City was the biggest game of this tournament for us as we practically destroyed their season But this one has the prize at the end, so if they can get theirselves psyched for it, we have a huge chance of retaining it.

It was a pretty good game to watch too, Sneijder was fantastic. Yeah, could be worse, they could have Fabianski as back up

What do you think about Chelsea's result? Wasn't too bad but they seem on edge with all the Cole and Terry drama recently. Cole and Cech are pretty big losses, but we've had a makeshift defence for at least a quarter of the season, so it's fair!
