Filet mignon, mashed potatoes, and veggies...it was the best!

An official welcome to you, Cadenza!

It doesn't really help that every now and again when I read a review by one of you guys in your blogs, I find it interesting, add the book, (such as tonight with The Treatment, by Mo Hayder in yours), and voila...another book thrown in .
-
I've also been reading and hearing some wonderful reviews on this book, BookBee. Thank you for your review here, I might just give it a try when I first get a chance as it's the kind of story that would certainly interest me.

This sounds like an intriguing book, lexie, despite some of the things that you mention are involved in it. It might be a possible addition to my TBR pile...may the gods help me read it all. Thanks for the review!

I put aside New Moon, by Stephenie Meyer, two days ago after reading only the first paragraph . It can't be that I'm not up for some reading because I read through half of The Princess Bride yesterday and I can't wait to pick it up one more time. I don't know when I'll pick up New Moon again as I have a line of books I'm really eager to read soon.
-
I love to add books to my own as well. Speaking of which, I just added 8 more books. That pile is never going to get smaller at the rate I'm going

Welcome to the forum, and may you enjoy your stay.

I definitely am. I haven't read many of Agatha's books yet, but all the ones I have are those that feature Poirot, and my favorite (thus far), would have to be Murder on the Orient Express. That might change once I read more of the books though.

"This is my favorite book in all the world, though I have never read it."
The Princess Bride, by William Goldman

Three more books added to the end of my TBR pile, though they'll most likely be read sooner than I think.

Valley of the Dolls, I didn't think I'd like for the first few pages but it has gotten quite interesting.
I'm glad to hear that it has potential. I might pick me up a copy if available at the library this Saturday. What's another book to add to my already humongous TBR pile right?
-
Miss Marple and Poirot all the way! I love Agatha Christe's books the crimes are so detailed and the detectives are really clever.
Great choice, Cadenza! What's your favorite Poirot book?
-
Wow, I had never seen these! Or perhaps I haven't been looking hard enough. But they certainly would be valuable to have (at least one) around just in case. I'll see if they sell them at my bookstore--they should --when I visit tomorrow.
-
Yay! I'm excited for you to read the books as well
-
This wasn't a bad book, but it was not one of my favorites either. I thought it a tad too long and slightly boring in places. However, it's worth being read at least once. I'm also rather glad that I'd read Bram Stoker's Dracula before The Historian, as it not only serves for great reference, but I think also takes precedence.

Currently Reading:
Valley of the Dolls - Jaqueline Susann
I've wanted to read this book since I was 15, and I still have not gotten around to it . I'd love to hear your thoughts on it once you finish it.
And happy readings to you

Which book have you started now? I got your text about the Harry Potter book....so which did you choose?
I'm going to try and start New Moon either today or tomorrow, but I don't make any promises. I think I'm just feeling lazy to start reading any bok at the moment (beyond shocking, I know, lol), but I'm still going to pick up the last Harry Potter series book on Saturday. If anything they'll probably give me a month or so before I have to return it, so I'll have time to read it.
How are you finding New Moon? And did you enjoy the J.R.Ward series? They're on my wishlist.I haven't started New Moon yet...aside from the first line of the book . I'll attempt to today however, or tomorrow, as it's a series that I want to get through.
The J. R. Ward series is fantastic, and I'm so glad that you've placed it on your wish list. From the vamp books that I have read thus far, the Black Dagger Brotherhood remains my favorite and I'd recommend it to anyone. I can't wait for you to get your hands on the books as well
-
I wouldn't be able to pick just one of the above. For me it's Horror/Supernatural/Fantasy/Sci-Fi and Historical Fiction, and when they're both combined, that makes it even better .
-
Definitely hazelnut for me, though I'm not too picky when it comes to hot chocolate...well, when it's chocolate in any way or form
-
Currently I'm wanting to see He's Not That Into You, Coraline, New In Town, and Inkheart. We'll see when I can manage to squeeze all of those into my schedule either in one day, or throughout four weeks.

There's a thread here about them. They're children's fantasy books, but they're so well imagined. They're easy read books, which means they're good for relaxing, as well as picking up and down when time is short.
Ah, thank you for that, Michelle . I'll be looking into it, as it truly does seem like something that would be a fun and interesting read to give a chance to.
