  1. It has be lovely weather until today, typically. I was sitting outside last night, it was so fresh and peaceful. :) Going to search for some bats tonight it the weather holds out. It has been pouring it down with bursts of sun, not long enough to venture out anywhere far, unless you don't mind the rain. (I don't mind it)

Poe has influenced so many writers, he is the master! :) Last story I read was the black cat and a little of leiga (spelling?) I haven't been reading much myself lately, just finishing Boudica and Kafka books. Been trying to concentrate on my dissertation write up. I can't wait for it to be finished. What have you been reading lately?

I haven't seen any horror films sadly. last one was bit of unborn but I fell asleep during it so need to watch the end. Have you seen any?

I have started to watch terminator: sarah connor chronicles season 1. It's very good so far, only watched two episodes tho. you seen anything good?

  2. Hey there, hope everything is good with you! :)

I don't know if you already know, but I came across a part of another forum which discusses Poe quite a bit. Seeing as you like him I thought I'd let you know.

If you go on online literature website (the literature network) and go into the forums and click on Edgar Allan Poe's name in the authors list, a section of the forum should pop up with lots of posts and a discussion area. Not sure if I should be telling this, is it bad to promote other websites/forums on a forum...:S ummm what the hell. (the url isn't allowed I know that)

  3. Howdy, how are you finding the forum? Hope your having a great day! :) Your cat looks divine by the way.

  4. Haha, found the swear word, thanks for editing. :)

  5. Hi Echo I'm very sorry, I didn't mean to, can you tell me which post I did this in?

  6. Hi, I must say I love your signature :)

  7. Great news about your friend not leaving :) hope your having a good day!

  8. Thats ok :) Im ok thanks, hope your are ok too!

Have you read A wild sheep chase by Haruki Murakami by any chance the bit about the unnamed protagonist's cat who has a farting problem, was possibly my favourite part of the book lol

    You take care too! :)

  9. From what I remember there were a number of women who worked night shifts in a warehouse. One ends up killing her abusive husband and to dipose of his body she cuts him up. This ends up becoming a common occurence and she and some of her work collegues end up being linked to the yakuza as well as trying to find a guy who is killing people by the warehouse when shifts end. Basic idea is looking at the relationships between a number of work collegeus and the dodgey buisness that get involved in. I need to read it again it's been a good 3 years since I read it. I've noticed there is a reading circle thread on this book posted a couple of years back.

I agree it's a comfort thing, something possesses you and you look back and think why?! hehe

  10. Hi there friend :) hope you had a good day!

  11. The Ghost game film is avaliable on you tube in parts, thats where I saw it a while back anyway. I tell a lie I just remembered I have read Out by Natsuo Kirino a few years ago, that is Japanese horrorish lol

Haha, book haulage must be done, I took too much home and nearly broke my back so had to leave some there.

Sounds like a lovely weekend! :), So do I lol

  12. I've not tried any japanese horror books apart from the ring which has been sitting on my bookshelf for a long time and I have yet to read it. Seen a cool Thai horror film recently - 'Ghost game' - also called Laa-thaa-phii, dunno if you heard about it, was quite controversial at the time of release, twasn't bad.

Aw I love Poe too, I prefer his poems to his stories atm. My bf reads alot of Stephen King, I keep trying to borrow them but buying too many books of my own and forgetting too, recommend any? I really want to read carrie, I read a little of duma key and that seemed funny. I'm not reading or doing much this weekend apart from snippets of the online version of Tess of the D'Urbervilles in my breaks from finishing two assignments due next week....tis poo :( You got anything planned?

  13. Aw :smile2: I love your new avatar...meow:singcat:

  14. It is more of a competition than it ever was it seems. :) I've been reading a mixture of things, just finished Haruki Murakami - a wild sheep chase, it was so off the wall, it was a great read, I'm looking forward to reading more from him. Apart from that just some random translated books by Andrey Kurkov, Franz Kafka, Mikhail Bulgakov, and Boudica series by Manda Scott. Got some other random books to read such as Tess Gerritsens new one and some classics but the guilt of not doing work and reading is preventing me from reading.

What have you been reading lately?

  15. Hi there, I'm doing good, thanks for asking :), how about you?

Just plodding along with uni work, and worrying what to do afterwards apart from be lazy and read. :) Seeing as so many jobs are bein cut the likely hood of me finding work when I finish in July is slim.

    How is everything with you?

  16. haha Thanks, I wouldn't say that, its not that hard although I probably don't do it right, its right enough for me, I hate perfection anyway lol

  17. oo sounds nice!

I was tempted to go for a fringe a while back, but because I don't trust who cuts my hair normally to do a great job on the fringe (seems to be an art) and I don't trust the hairdressers yet, I was at a loss lol

I normally trim myself, or my mum cuts my hair or my friend who has trained as a hairdresser although isn't fully qualified. Anyone but a real hairdresser which is probably very stupid on my part, tis why I don't have perfect hair, I'm growing it and it's above my bum atm so I don't really need the hairdressers atm.

Good luck with the haircut lol :)

  18. I wish I could lol I've been lazy enough lately to last a lifetime. Must be a good girl lol

Oh thats sounds nice, going to the hairdressers? I've never been to the hairdressers in my life, I don't trust them. Getting any paticular style or just trim?

  19. Good to hear! I'm all good myself, apart from worrying over uni work.

Thank you! :) Got anything good planned for the day? Mine will consist of work, shower, work, eat, work and then sleep most probably. It's a nice day out too.

  20. Hello, too true, how are you today?

Loving your new avatar again lol you have good taste.

  21. lol thats ok. I couldn't tell what your tone was, very mysterious haha is that sisu attitude too, straight to the point? lol

I can understand the annoyance if I understood it better I would be too. I agree with the annoyance of America being used for the states when it includes South America etc and they don't mean that when they use it.

I did have a lovely weekend thank you, back to uni tomorrow.....joy....(sarcam) :)

  22. haha I just thought I'd pop on your profile to check if you were online and if by any chance you were reading home from home thread and it says you are replying to the thread. lol, its almost like stalking, I feel bad and a little nervous of your reply, hehe. Hope your having a good day anyhoo!

  23. Happy Birthday Michelle :)

  24. I'ts ok! I agree with your post about being closer to him as he was your 5th, i had a similar experience when i was 16 with my hamster spud, i got very attatched like never before, think he was my 5th hamster too.....weird. He felt like my best friend in a way (as sad as that sounds to some people lol) and loosing him was very hard. I hope you feel better soon, and getting another pet does help you move on (but still remember them and compare, although thats bad but we all do it :D)

Thanks tiger! Oh no i hope you don't get the whole hog :friends0:, mine started with a sore throat too. :irked:

  25. Oh im sorry to hear that, he looked so sweet. :friends0:

I'm alright apart from being full of cold, very romantic for valentines day, *coughing and spluttering* how are you?
