  2. I know it's off topic, but confusion over a single roundabout is nothing - behold the Swindon Magic Roundabout! Have a look at the Wiki page about it, just so you can see the road sign

    Hi!

    Hello!
  4. The Love Of Her Life - Harriet Evans
  5. Hi Bev!
  6. Captain Corelli's Mandolin. So many people talked about how this was their favourite book ever, yet I was so underwhelmed by it, I even put fingers to keyboard on amazon.co.uk to explain my 1 star rating - something I'd never done before, nor since, on any book I've read (although now I come here to vent my spleen instead).
  7. Hello Tina!
  8. Well you definitely have at least one sale lined up for book 4 when it gets published, as you know how much I enjoyed our discussion on ALB
  9. Hi Susan
  10. That sums them up perfectly, Joe! I think that if you've loved them as much as that, then they'll definitely stand up to rereading them (which I've done many times!), but I'd also say, as a fan of Edward you should read the partial draft of Midnight Sun (available on Stephenie's website). Just an extra fix for the Twilight fan
  11. I only read for pleasure, however, some of my books are educational and I do learn from them, just not related to my work and most are science books. After taking an A level in Environmental Science a few years back (purely for fun), I've gained an interest in natural sciences and environmental issues, so do try to read non fiction around this subject. Fiction, though, is always for pleasure and escapism.
  12. I put "The Blue Last" into google, and the second hit was this http://www.bookreporter.com/reviews/067003004X.asp which seems to confirm that this book does involve a trip to Italy to authenticate a painting.
  13. I noticed quite a few titles in Waterstone's on Saturday that looked familiar, including this one and The Monk, and I wondered if one of the publishers has decided to reprint some of these gothic novels referenced in Northanger Abbey.
