  1. Collected three books from the library Shadow Kiss by Richelle Mead and The Circus of the Damned and The Lunatic Caf
  2. Laptop. Gunslinger or sheriff?
  3. Vampire (I'm allergic to animal hair) Armchair or sofa?
  4. Glad you're enjoying the House of Night series though. I thought book five was a step back in the right direction, and six was much better, but I really loved book seven, Burned. I hope you get it soon, as I'm sure you're gonna love it (Aphrodite is brilliant in it!)
  5. Hmmm, I think I can detect that you didn't like this one then, CW? You really mustn't sit on the fence you know
  6. Finished Being Nikki and collected the two books for my reading group in June, which are The Outcast by Sadie Jones (looking forward to this one ) and The Line of Beauty by Alan Hollinghurst (not looking forward to this in the slightest )
  7. The Vampire Diaries (recorded last night)
  8. I've never seen either, but just to get going again ... Godfather. Lemon or lime?
  9. Well, there is always the possibility they've added some scenes with the Volturi back in Volterra, as we don't see any Volturi until the very end of the book, but some of the clips seem to indicate them overseeing things before the climax of the story, so you never know
  10. Aro isn't in the book, so I'm guessing they've stuck to that in the film.
  11. It looks like Ashley and Kellan have agreed terms now as well, so are signed up for Breaking Dawn --> imdb news
  12. Finished Airhead by Meg Cabot during my lunchbreak, and will move onto the second book Being Nikki this evening (as it's a library book that needs to go back soon).
  13. We also had a good discussion here
  14. I love Kathleen Tessaro too! I've read the first three of her books, and have the fourth one on my wishlist I'd love to recommend Alexandra Potter's first two books What's New Pussycat? and Going La La, but unfortunately, she changed publishers after the first three or four books, and they're not easily available anymore but if you come across them in a charity shop or in the library, I think they're great. Going La La is probably my favourite ever chick-lit book.
  15. You could try green tea with lemon - I love the Clipper one - it doesn't taste so much like plain green tea, and smells gorgeous.
  16. I read and enjoyed both of them, but preferred The Man Who Ate The 747
  17. All mine are the ones that were re-issued with the photo of a woman on the cover, because they seemed to stop selling the cartoon based ones when I went to buy them. I don't mind too much, but I would like one to tie in with those rather than have a one-off cartoon one, or a pesky TV tie-in one.
  18. Have reserved a lot of YA books from the library, as they're such quick reads and unlikely to be re-read, so it seems better to save money for buying the good books. This means, however, I have a glut of them to read before they need to go back, so I've moved onto another one now - Airhead by Meg Cabot. There are still more to come, but I'll resist reserving any more, so once I've finished this batch, I can go back to some more grown up reading for a change!
  19. I think the reason we tend not to have tea bags with strings, is that teapots are ingrained in our psyche, and it's probably only in the last generation who've moved away that. My grandmother didn't even use tea bags for most of her life, always loose leaf tea, poured out with a tea strainer. We've come from a society where tea drinking is a communal, family affair, so teapots are actually more economical anyway.
  20. Thanks, BJ. I was starting to get a bit worried that I wouldn't get it, but you've convinced me that it's worth giving it a go.
  21. What is doing on the cover of book 10? I know they're trying to get True Blood fans to buy it, ! I hate TV and film tie-in covers
  22. Hmmm ... I've got this on order at the library, but I have to admit, I've never seen the film (too scared of witches when I was a kid and haven't completely got over that yet ) and I've never read the original book either - is this going to be a problem for reading Wicked?
